#BiggBoss14: My heart really broke when I couldn't be one of the Bigg Boss finalists, says Eijaz Khan
Eijaz Khan's Bigg Boss journey came to an abrupt end when the Yeh Moh Moh Ke Dhaagey actor had to opt out of the reality show midway due to his professional commitments. And even though Eijaz had finished his commitments, the Tara From Satara actor couldn't go inside the house in time to participate in the show. "There are different reasons why my journey inside the Bigg Boss house came to an end sooner than anyone expected. I really thought, with all humility, I deserved to be a Bigg Boss finalist! Agar mujhse ya kisi aur se bhi poocho, they all saw me as a finalist. I wanted to be the person jo Bigg Boss ki lights ko switch off kare. My heart really broke when I couldn't be one of the show finalists," shares an emotional Eijaz. So why couldn't he re-enter the reality show even though he had mentioned that he was over with his professional commitments well in time, we wonder? "The makers of the show will always keep the show's interest the highest priority. I finished off my work on February 6 and the makers knew about it. So even though, as much as I would have liked to be inside the house, I would still have to finish the quarantine period and then there would have been hardly any days left for the show to end. There were millions of supporters writing to me daily on social media to re-enter. Agar mere haath mein hota toh main darwaze ke aage tent laga ke baith jaata. I was feeling so disappointed. I am a producer's actor and so I knew their dillemma. They had built my brand, from the Bigg Boss show's perspective," he adds.
So he will be going for the finale? "Well, I hope so! I want to see everyone once, I want to meet Salman Khan bhai once, I would like to hug all the contestants once," he says.
Unfortunately, in the past too, Eijaz had to opt of a dance reality show because of his shoulder injury. So somewhere does he feel his reality show journey is jinxed? "No...I create my own luck and mere haathon ki lakeerein mehnat se bani hain. Main 100 per cent shiddat se sab kuchh karta hoon. Even while participating in Jhalak, I had an accident where my partner fell on my shoulder when I was lifting her, and the shoulder got dislocated and I had to undergo surgery. Unfortunately, the same injury resurfaced in the Buzzer Task inside the Bigg Boss house. The nature of the task was such that the inmates had to move my hand and in the process it got dislocated again, twice. If people realize, every time I used to walk, I would make faces, and that was because of the pain, though people used to make fun about that inside the house," he shares.

Rajamouli fails to break his own record – Baahubali Vs RRR
SS Rajamouli did the unthinkable with his Baahubali series. The historic drama Baahubali turned out to be a huge hit not just in India but also internationally. Currently Rajamouli is busy in his upcoming magnum opus RRR, which boasts an ensemble cast including Ram Charan, Jr NTR, Shriya Saran, Olivia Morris, Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn. Since SSRajamouli has cemented his place across the country with Baahubali series, the makers are confident of selling RRR for a record price. But RRR helmer SS Rajamouli failed to break his own record which he created with Baahubali in the term of pre release business.
According to the latest update, the Tamil Nadu theatrical rights of RRR were sold for Rs 42 Cr to Lyca Productions. The production house Lyca is known for producing and distributing big Tamil movies like Vada Chennai, Darbar, 2.0 and other big budget entertainers. Talking about its distribution amount, SS Rajamouli’ magnum opus RRR failed to beat Baahubali: The Conclusion, which was sold at Rs 47 Cr in Tamil Nadu.
RRR, which is a big budget film, is being bankrolled by DVV Danayya, is a fictitious tale based on two Telugu freedom fighters – Alluri Seetharama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
Chakra Movie Review
Vishal starrer thriller drama ‘Chakra’, which is directed by debutant MS Anandan, is hitting the theaters today on 19th February. The movie features U Turn fame Shraddha Srinath, Regina Cassandra, Robo Shankar, and others in the crucial roles. The film is bankrolled by Vishal himself and the music is scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja. Let’s see the story of Chakra.
Story: 50 robberies done on 73rd Independence Day. One of the robberies is registered at military officer Chandru alias Subhash Chandra Bose (Vishal) house too. Chandru and Gayatri (Shraddha Srinath) start investigating the robbery case. During the robbery, Chandru found that the Ashoka Chakra Medal, which was granted to his father, was stolen. What happens next? How does Chandru solve the case? Form rest of the story.

Performance: Chakra is a movie that deals with the concept of cyber crimes and hacking and Vishal has already acted in a movie similar to this – Abhimanyudu. Regina Cassandra as Leela, a chess coach and computer hacker is the villain and she justifies with her role. Shraddha Srinath comes up with a clean performance, as Gayathri. The rest of the cast of Charka are ok.
Technical: The writing is not very strong and too convenient. Regina Cassandra is shown as a strong chess player but what makes Chandru (Vishal) defeat her easily hangs as a big question mark. Yuvan Shankar Raja’s background score is the main asset of this film Chakra. The background score is pulsating and plays an integral part in this film. The runtime of Chakra is one of the major issues , as it should have ended at least 15-20 minutes before where it actually ends. The cinematography is flawless and the editing by Ruban is ok.
Analysis: Chakra – A Cat and mouse game between a military man and a cyber crime gang.
Mohan Lal’s Drishyam 2 gets positive reviews
Drishyam that released in 2013 is the highest-grossing flicks in the Malayalam film industry. The film stars Mohan Lal, Meena in the lead roles. Jeetu Joseph has directed the original. Drishyam mixes the family, thriller genres effectively. Drishyam was later remade into many languages and the end result is the same – blockbuster.
Now, after seven years, a sequel to this film is made. All the major cast and crew from the first part worked for the sequel as well. The sequel Drishyam 2 got released directly on the OTT platform Amazon Prime. The film is getting rave reviews. Everyone who watched the film is giving a positive response.
It is said that Drishyam 2 is the perfect sequel. The last 30 minutes of the film are filled with lots of twists. Mohan Lal has yet again given a commendable performance.
Krithi Shetty To Romance Ram
Uppena girl Krithi Shetty aka Bebamma is now one of the most happening names in Tollywood right now. Her looks and acting prowess bagged praises from critics and audiences alike. The makers of Ram Pothineni and Linguswamy are considering Krithi Shetty for their film. This is going to be an interesting combination as both Ram and Krithi look easy on eyes.
Although the film is a Oorra Mass film with stylish elements, it is said to have equal importance to love. The hero-heroine’s chemistry is expected to be crucial. And hence, Linguswamy and Ram are considering Krithi’s name for their next. Since it’s a Telugu-Tamil bilingual, Krithi would get a launch in Tamil.
However, the talks are in a nascent phase. More details are awaited. The film will be made on a grand scale by the makers of U-Turn, Black Rose and Seetimaarr.

Superstar Mahesh Babu is ageing backwards: Mahesh’s trainer
Superstar Mahesh Babu will be sporting a new look for his upcoming movie ‘Sarkaru Vaari Paata’ and for this Mahesh is going through a transformation. But Mahesh doesn’t share all his work out details as he is known to keep things simple. Yet we have some info and it’s Mahesh’s trainer Minash Gabriel who revealed these things.
Mahesh’s training would split into strength training, cardio that involved anaerobic variants and most importantly Zone 2 training. The trainer added that Mahesh used work out mostly in the evenings after the shoot and it would last for 60 minutes at a stretch.
Nithiin – Three treats in four months

Nithiin starrer Telugu film which is remake of National award winning Hindi movie Andhadhun will hit the theaters on 11th June. In this manner, Nithiin would have three films releasing in a gap of four months.
Nabha Natesh is playing the female lead in this remake which is helmed by Merlapaka Gandhi and is bankrolled by Nithiin’s home banner Sreshth Movies. The film also has milky beauty Tamannah Bhatia in the crucial role. The major part of the shoot of this remake is shot in Pondicherry and the makers are planning to wrap up the entire shoot by the end of March month.
Kapatadhaari Review
Kapatadhaari', a crime drama, hits the screens this Friday. Here is our review of the latest box-office outing.
Story:
Gautham (Sumanth) is a traffic sub-inspector who aspires to get into the crime department to solve crime cases. He learns that the skeletal remains of a family have got accidentally unearthed at a construction site. When he discovers that the remains are 40-years-old, he launches an unofficial investigation with the help of a crime reporter named GK (Jayaprakash). In his journey, he has to take retired SI Ranjith Kumar (Nasser) along.
Who killed the family? Is the conspirator alive? If yes, what he is up to? Answers to these questions are mostly found in the second half.
Analysis:
'Kapatadhaari' is an official remake of the Kannada film ‘Kavaludaari’, whose story was by M Hemanth Rao. The largely faithful remake shows its protagonist as an underdog who ducks the system and braves all odds (which are funnily minimal) in solving a murder mystery.
With whodunit-like crime dramas, the investigation part has to be solid. We have seen earnest police procedurals such as 'HIT: The First Case' in recent times. The film under review lives up to its self-image insofar as it sticks to the investigative track with sincerity. However, the same is not salvaging enough.
Convenient writing is the hallmark of this film. Sumanth's character discovers one clue after another with ease. It's as if the crime didn't happen four decades ago but four months/years ago.
There is a heavyweight politician who can be challenged with incredible ease. He is there to also reveal his story at the right time, like old-fashioned villains used to do in movies of an earlier era.
Director Pradeep Krishnamoorthy shows imagination when it comes to casting Nasser and Jayaprakash for the roles of an ex-cop and an ambitious reporter, respectively. The duo also gets some very well-rounded scenes with Gautham. However, when it comes to building suspense or drama around them, the film falters.
There is a film actress by the name of Ramya (Suman Ranganathan) and she is at best a stereotyped character. The Chief Minister is a cardboard character. Like in the case of the other two veterans, this character, too, is redeemed by the performance of the actor (Sampath Maitreya).
While the run-time is not too much, the narration is either taxing or too simplistic. The first half's flashback, driven by endless monologic lines, keeps the audience scratching their heads. It takes a revisit of the same story in the second half for the audience to make sense of it all.
Rasamathi's cinematography is able, while Simon K King's tension-inducing background score is a big plus. The title track, which serves as a theme, is superb.
Sumanth, who is not a stranger to serious roles, is convincing. He should have avoided those dating-by-parental-arrangement scenes in the first act - for obvious reasons. Nandita Swetha gets to play a mellowed character. Sensible casting is the film's forte.
Verdict:
'Kapatadhaari' is an investigative crime drama that is a faithful remake. It is a simplistic police procedural that lacks emotional connect.
SRK’s Son & Juhi’s Daughter Steal The Show In IPL Auction
Finally, the hungama of IPL auction has come to an end in Chennai just about a while ago. Though it was a mini-auction, there were a lot of exciting moments in this year’s event. Keeping aside the cricket issues, what grabbed the audiences’ eyes was the presence of Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan.
It is already known that Shah Rukh owns the IPL team Kolkata Knight Riders. Every year, his team manages the auction formalities. This time, his son Aryan has come over and took part in the proceedings. He was accompanied by Jahnavi Mehta, daughter of KKR’s co-owner Juhi Chawla.
Both Aryan and Jahnvi actively participated in the auction proceedings and helped their management in buying some good players for KKR. Just like SRK and Juhi, these two youngsters also share a good camaraderie with each other. We have to see if they venture into acting in the future or settle down with the management of their businesses.
Prabhas And Rana To Clash Once Again?
Actors Prabhas and Rana Daggubati have clashed on the big screen in Baahubali, as Baahubali and Bhallaladeva. That clash is just unbelievable and amazing. And once again, looks like they are all set to clash but this time it is going to be at the box office.
The makers of Radhe Shyam are in plans of releasing the film on April 30th. The talks have been going on this but till now, nothing has been made official about it. But going by how the makers are releasing updates, one after the other, we can assume that they may release the film on April 30th.
Also, on the other hands, the makers of Virata Parvam have officially announced that the film will release on April 30th. So looks like both the actor may clash at the box office.
Also, going by how good friends Rana and Prabhas are, the actors might internally sort this out and not clash as well. Because compared to Virata Parvam, Radhe Shyam is a huge film and a pan-Indian film. Let’s wait for a confirmation.
Telugu Andhadhun Release Date Locked
Hero Nithiin’s 30th film under the direction of Merlapaka Gandhi is presently being filmed in and around Hyderabad and most of the prominent cast is being part of the ongoing schedule. Meanwhile, the makers have announced release date of the film which is official remake of Andhadhun.
June 11th is the date locked for theatrical release of the yet to be titled flick. The very next week, means on June 19th, Akhil’s Most Eligible Bachelor will be gracing the theatres. However, there will be no other big competition for the film at box office.
Nithiin romances Nabha Natesh and Tamannaah Bhatia is roped in for a crucial role. N Sudhakar Reddy and Nikitha Reddy bankroll the film under Sreshth Movies. Mahati Swara Sagar scores music while J Yuvraj is handling cinematography.
Nithiin’s action thriller Check directed by Chandrasekhar Yeleti is up for release on February 26th.
