Father's Day is June 21, which means there's still enough time for children to make their dads a gift! Most classrooms celebrate Mother's Day, but let's be sure not to forget Dad! Here is a really cute Father's Day gift to make for the dads in your class.
Cut the top of the construction paper (any color) into an "M" shape.
Fold the M-shaped area over, then have a student draw a line down the center of the paper (pencil first) and draw or glue on three paper circles or use real buttons.
Make a tie from construction paper or you can certainly use the bottom part of an old tie. (Most men probably have a tie that they know they can do without, or you can just get some scrap fabric and use that.)
Fasten the tie to the top of the card using glue or a stapler. Do not fasten the bottom of the tie, as you may have the student write under it.
Step 5
Fold the collar flaps down, then draw a button on each collar flap or glue on an actual small-sized button.
Step 6
Have the kids write something to their fathers.
