Difference of opinion is quite common in the film circuit and there are times when one may not want to say it directly, but the messages are still conveyed causing trouble. Recently, Sekhar Kammula wrote an article on the late Veturi in the Sakshi newspaper.
At one point, he mentioned that with songs from the film ‘Anand’, he realized that Veturi re-emerged again to the level of his unforgettable Sagara Sangamam, Sankarabharanam. This indirectly implied that it was due to Kammula’s film that Veturi got his career back on track.
This didn’t go well with a few, especially the team of Gunasekhar. Apparently it is not just Kammula, even Gunasekhar who is a big fan of Veturi who used his services for his films. The talk in his camp after reading the article was Kammula seems to be giving a feeling that he gave a lift to the veteran’s career and this was rather exaggerating and uncalled for. Gunasekhar camp says that arrogance of Sekhar was seen in the article than the heart link.
