Efforts are on since quite a while to make a film based on the life of the famous lady revolutionary Chityala Ailamma alias Chakali Ailamma. Though it was considered to take Ramulamma alias Vijayasanthi for this role, since it is a big budget movie, the makers are reportedly considering Anushka is a better choice.
The producers of the film feel that Anushka will do justice to the role. This is the story of the woman whose lands are grabbed by the local Zamindar and when she protests, she is raped. From then on, she becomes a nightmare for the Zamindar.
It is heard that after hearing the story of Chakali Ailamma, Anushka has agreed to do the film. Since it is known that the ongoing Telangana issue will not create any effect on the film, it is heard that plans are made to make this on a grand scale. Further details would be revealed soon.
