50 DAYS OF THE PHENOMENAL VEDALAM

Today, Dec 29, marks the 50th day of this year's big Diwali winner Vedalam, starring Thala Ajith, Lakshmi Menon and Shruti Haasan in the lead roles. This film was directed by Siva and produced by A.M.Rathnam. Vedalam set a new record in Tamil cinema for the maximum Day 1 TN gross and has reportedly gone on to gross well over 100 crores worldwide. This is the highest grosser in Ajith's career and one among the best ever in Tamil cinema. The film has also done rousing business in the overseas space, particularly in Malaysia where it was unstoppable. Vedalam also marks back to back hits for the Ajith - Siva duo after Veeram last year, and they are set to join hands in 2016 too, for 'Thala 57'. We wish all the actors, technicians and workers who were a part of Vedalam, a film which has brought a smile to all the stakeholders concerned in every chain. Therikka Vittutanga!!!

Vijay leads Mahesh Babu, Suriya and Ajith

Forbes India has released a list of the 100 most influential celebrities in India. The list takes into account both the money and fame aspect while ranking celebrities. Bollywood superstars Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar are among the Top 5 with SRK leading the list. Cricketers like Dhoni, Sachin, Sehwag and Kohli are also in the Top 10. Bollywood babes, Kareena and Katrina, represent the girls in the Top 10. From the Tamil film industry, A.R.Rahman finds a place at 20 while Vijay is at 28. Apparently Vijay has earned around 38.46 crores in 2012, according to the data released. Mahesh Babu is at 31, Suriya is at 43, Ajith is at 61 and Vikram is at 67.

MANKATHA FIRST TUNE!

Yuvan Shankar Raja has completed scoring the first tune for a song in Mankatha. The film is being directed by his cousin Venkat Prabhu and the director is upbeat about the tune set. Mankatha has created a lot of expectations among the movie buffs as it will have Ajith donning greasepaint for his 50th film.

The film’s star cast includes several top stars including Nagarjuna, Trisha Krishnan, Lakshmi Rai, and Premji Amaren.

Husband Divorced Actress Wife Only On ‘Suspicions’

The film industry is one place where relationships run on a thin string and that’s why many a times, marriages happen within members of the film circuit. However, even that is also not working out in the case of few heroines. One among them is the former heroine and current character actress Seetha.

She was married to the creative Kollywood director/actor Parthiban and after a while, they got separated. However, the buzz is that Parthiban was not too happy with Seetha’s movements and that led to suspicion. Sources say that things got worse with the ‘Bhuvaneshwari’ incident which brought the name of Seetha in the list.

Now, both are divorced but that has not stopped Seetha from moving on and finding a new man for herself. While it is not sure what led to the divorce, those who know them both say that Parthiban was sure of something fishy about Seetha and that’s why he took that decision.
