The city played host to big names in the fashion industry on Wednesday when it became the latest destination in the ongoing Blenders Pride Magical Nights Tour. Acclaimed designer duo Rahul Khanna and Rohit Gandhi were here for the fashion show featuring their collection, which was held later in the night.
The 50-day tour, which began in Guwahati on July 22 will be travelling to 11 cities and ending in Pune on September 9. Apart from Cue, the label by Rahul Khanna and Rohit Gandhi, fashion shows in different cities also feature collections of local designers. In Hyderabad the duo displayed their collection along with Asmita Marwa, an established designer from the city. Bollywood actor Minnisha Lamba upped the glam quotient as she walked the ramp with verve.
Speaking to mediapersons here about her collection ‘Maya’ Ms. Marwa said, “This is my fall-winter collection and comes purely from my imagination. I have used different elements like ‘khadi’, big roses, tartan checks, antique Banares zari and even Telugu calligraphy to produce a very bohemian and yet chic look.”
