Ever wondered what's the key to good health? We did some digging around and asked experts to put this list together for a healthier lifestyle and a whole new you :) Here are 10 health essentials every woman should have:

1. Chamomile tea:

Chamomile is known to have calming effects. So on a particularly tough day, it would be a good idea to wind up with a cuppa. Antioxidants present in these magical flowers, help you calm down, especially if you suffer from insomnia. Chamomile also helps curb symptoms of migraine. We highly recommend that you stock up on tea bagfuls of these.

2. Exercise mat:

Whether you’re an aerobics girl, yoga/pilates follower ala Madonna or simply doing a mix of all these put together, you need a good exercise mat. Here’s why: A good mat offers you support to perform your yoga asanas and stretches. It’s a good cushion against injuries. Now you don’t want to fall over while practising that yoga asana, do you? So invest in a mat you can fold up so that you can take it to your vacation spot too.

3. Calcium supplements:

Post menopause, majority of women tend to suffer from osteoporosis. This causes bones to become delicate, fragile and even break. Women therefore need to take calcium supplements as per requirements to protect their bones in the future.

4. Good sunscreen:

No! Its not just so that you have flawless skin. It’s also to protect you from ultra violet rays. UV rays can be harmful to our health. A good sunscreen not just protects your skin from sunburns and premature ageing, but also from skin cancer. So make sure you always have a tube of these too.

5. Eye drops:

Thanks to sedentary lifestyles, our eyes are used and abused. Its constantly under the strain from the glare of the computer or the television. To add to it, our hectic schedules often do not permit us enough shut-eye. Eyes that face so much strain are bound to go dry. Its therefore essential to have good eye drops or "fresh tears" - water based lubricants - that will not just hydrate those eyes but soothe them too. Consult your ophthalmologist for this one.
