You hear the term grandmothers, and the picture of an old woman trying to balance her steps is what you see!
Time to reconsider the picture, as old is no more, old. Forget the gray-haired-little-old-lady-in-the-rocking-chair image. Grannies are going the glamorous way. Just check out model-turned-singer and wife of French President Nicolas Sarkozy, Carla Bruni. She will soon be a grandmother.
Here's a look at some glamorous grandmothers who have defied age.
Dimple Kapadia
Dimple Kapadia is famous for her glamorous looks, her lovely hair and challenging roles. She has come a long way from being the sexy siren in Bobby and Saagar to a serious actress in Rudaali. The actress is now a dotting grandmother to her grandchildren Aarav (Twinkle and Akshay's son) and Naomika (Rinky's daughter). But there's one thing missing. We are still searching for that old age on her face.
Sharmila Tagore
Sharmila Tagore is always at the center of controversy for her liberal censorship as the lead of Indian Film Censor Board. She was recently chosen as the UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. If a critic is so beautiful and glamorous, that too at this age, who will not abide by her wishes. The way she carries herself, she can give some serious competition to today's actresses (Kareena will at least agree to that).

Sarah Louise Palin is an American politician who served as Governor of the U.S. state of Alaska from 2006 until 2009, and was the Republican candidate for Vice President of the United States in 2008. At the age of 45, she looks so glamorous that it's hard to believe that she's a grandmother too.
Goldie Hawn
Hollywood star Goldie Hawn feels it's an amazing experience to be a grandmother to daughter Kate Hudson's baby son. The Private Benjamin actress, 58, loves being grandmother to her first grandson, six-month-old Ryder Russell. It's amazing how she juggles the dual roles of a sexy actress and that of a grandmother.
The question is how do these women do it? How do they maintain that vibrant appearance?
Well the answers are best known to them alone.
