Former Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Rajasekhara Reddy's state funeral would be held on Friday, Sep 4, afternoon in his hometown Pulivendula in Kadapa district.
Prime Minsiter Manmohan Singh arrived in Hyderabad to pay his last respect to the late AP CM. Many Congress leaders and prominent politicians have come down to Hyderabad to pay tribute.
The body would be kept in Lal Bahadur Stadium for the public to see their departed leader for the last time.
A huge crowd of Congress workers, common people and many prominent politicians have come to Hyderabad to pay their homage to the popular leader.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha LK Advani would attend YSR's funeral in Pulivendula.
Andhra Pradesh government announced a seven-day mourning for Reddy. Andhra Pradesh would close all its central and state offices on Friday, Sep 4.
“The state government declares, with deep sense of sorrow, the sudden demise of Dr. Rajasekhara Reddy,” said Chief Secretary P Ramakanth Reddy in a message to all district collectors.
