Be prepared for Assembly sessions, says Rosaiah

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K. Rosaiah has directed Ministers and officials to be fully prepared with comprehensive information on subjects they are dealing with to answer any query raised during the Assembly and Council sessions to be held from December 7 to 23.

Mr. Rosaiah who addressed the meeting of the Ministers and officials at the Secretariat in connection with Legislative Assembly and Council sessions, here on Friday said that they should discharge their role with seriousness and dedication during the legislative sessions to enhance the credibility of the government among people.

Ministers and officials should not stay away from the city while the sessions were in progress and in case of emergency officials should take permission of the Chief Secretary before leaving the city. As separate Telangana, indefinite fast by TRS president K.Chandrasekhar Rao, Hyderabad as free zone, law and order, drought, floods, mining, prices of essential commodities, weeding of bogus ration cards, power supply issues etc., were likely to dominate the sessions, members should keep all relevant information with them, Mr. Rosaiah said.

The ensuing Assembly session will also take up pending Bills that were introduced in the last session but could not be passed. Such Bills include Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Amendment Bill- 2008 and the Industrial Bill. Certain approved Bills that were introduced as ordinances should be passed as legislation including Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Amendment-2009, AP Excise Ordinance-2009.
