Even as the American beauty Caterina Lopez learns the ropes of Bollywood, she is quite outspoken about her adulation for Shahrukh Khan.
Caterina Lopez makes her debut in Bhindi Baazaar Inc. Though she doesn’t have a role in the film, she’s already making waves because of her sensuous item song “Taan Ke Seena” in the film.
Caterina admits that having danced to pop, hip-hop and rap all her life, it was difficult for her to adjust to Bollywood music.
“Dancing to Bollywood music did need some getting used to. But after a while, I pretty much got the hang of it,” Caterina said while promoting the film.
More difficult than dancing perhaps was getting the lip-sync right. Since Caterina doesn’t know Hindi, she transliterated the lyrics in English and then learnt them.
“I used to read the text with the song, and that’s how I got the lip sync right,” Caterina says.
Talk to her about Bollywood heroes and Caterina has only star to gush about: Shahrukh Khan.
“Most of the films I have seen featured Shahrukh. I think he is the hottest,” Caterina says.
Well, we’re sure Shahrukh would be pleased; Gauri proud.
