Rana's Power In National Market

Rana has a huge fan following in north India, Tamilnadu and Kerala. He gained this popularity thanks to the massive success of "Baahubali" and "Baahubali 2".
Can you believe that the makers of "Nene Raju Nene Mantri" have done pre-release business to the tune of Rs 25 cr outside Telugu market?
Yes, the film fetched nearly Rs 25 cr for the producers from Hindi, Tamil and Malayalam versions.
This Teja-directed movie was made with just Rs 18 cr budget including print and publicity. And the producers have made a table profit from business of Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam versions already.
In AP and Telangana, Rana's father Suresh Babu is distributing the movie through Suresh Movies. The digital, satellite rights and overseas rights for Telugu versions have fetched them nearly Rs 10 cr.
Well, till date, Rana hasn't had a major hit as a solo hero. Also, he has never had a big release as the sole hero of a film. Now, he has proved that his films can sell despite being cast as a solo hero.
Buzz in the industry is that a major pie from the business of other markets apart from Telugu goes into the pockets of Suresh Babu, Rana's father, who is a sleeping partner in the film.
Director Teja has no brand value as of now and definitely no market outside Telugu. Despite this, the movie did such staggering business due to Rana's popularity that he gained with 'Baahubali' series.
