WhatsApp announced its partnership with the Indian School Of Public
Policy (ISPP) on Wednesday in New Delhi under which the company will
organize privacy design workshops for the students of the institute. As
per the reports, Global Head of WhatsApp, Will Catchcart was in Mumbai
where he announced this partnership with ISPP during a discussion with
Indian startups and entrepreneurs.
"WhatsApp was built to help people stay in touch with friends and
family as well as connect with businesses. Because people share some of
their most personal needs and moments on WhatsApp, we're committed to
helping people in India have private conversations with others that
matter to them," mentioned Cathcart as per the reports.
Students at ISPP act as public policy advocates for different
companies including WhatsApp and this partnership will bring a series of
design workshops starting september 17. The workshops for the students
will be co-hosted by the Trust, Transparency, and Control Labs (TTC) The
partnership is aimed towards designing products while keeping in mind
the overall privacy when building different consumer and
business-centric products.
“We're delighted to partner with Indian School of Public Policy and
support their work to train the next generation of innovative policy
leaders," said Dan Hayden, TTC Labs Lead in the reports.
