Kareena thinks of Saif Ali Khan’s family as her own. Apparently, she has great regard for Saif’s sister Soha Ali Khan and her beau Kunal Khemu. A case in point is Kareena strongly recommending Kunal to Golmaal 3 director Rohit Shetty. She convinced Shetty to include him as an integral part of the Golmaal series.'

Recently, Kareena told Shetty that Kunal would be an asset in his forthcoming film, which she stars in as well. Says a source, “Recently Saif, Kareena, Soha and Kunal met for dinner. Kareena and Kunal had an intense conversation about his movies and forthcoming projects. She thinks he is a very talented actor and is just making the wrong choices with his movies. She mentioned the same to him and discussed Golmaal 3 with him.”

It’s a thoughtful gesture on Kareena’s part to help out Soha’s boyfriend. The source continues, “Golmaal director Rohit was hunting for the star cast and Kareena was aware of that. We hear she had a word with Rohit, who was convinced by Kareena’s reasoning. The director immediately decided that Kunal should be sharing the screen space with Kareena, Ajay Devgan Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade, Arshad Warsi and Mithun Chakraborty. This is a good break for Kunal and will put him in another league.”

Kareena and Kunal both remained unavailable for comment. However, director Rohit Shetty denied the story.

‘Hot’ Kat, Akshay under wraps!

It may come as a shock. But for some reason, Akshay Kumar reportedly doesn't want a hot seductive number that he has shot with Katrina Kaif for Ratan Jain’s De Dana Dan to be publicised. A source says, “If you check the promos on all the music channels you’ll see only Paisa Paisa and Baamulaiza playing. The hottest song in the film Gale Lag Ja isn’t even part of the promotion.”

Ironical because normally the first thing a film producer does is to showcase the hottest ditty on his chart. Director Priyadarshan had confirmed that the song Gale Lag Ja shot under a heavy-duty waterfall at Mumbai’s Filmistan Studio, was his idea.

As is the requirement of such songs — Akshay was dressed in sheer shirts, and Kat was wearing cholis that were held together by a mere string with matching chiffon sarees that clinged seductively to her.

Naturally the aim of the song is to raise the audiences’ temperature. But after having such contraband material in hand, the hero seems to have had a change of heart.

Insiders say that Akshay would much rather publicise De Dana Dan as the return of the quasi Hera Pheri team, because Hera Pheri is a much-in-demand franchise. And for the first time, he has asked his producer to not even release stills of the rain song because he doesn’t want this number to distract the audience.
Katrina, who enjoyed shooting the wet song, says, “It is the quintessential wet song that every Bollywood heroine does at some point. I’m excited about it because for the first time in so many years, I was able to match Akshay’s energy levels.”

When asked why this song wasn’t playing on any channel, Katz said, “You should ask my producer Ratanji and Akshay. I don’t interfere in such matters.”

Sources say that Jain will not cross the line that his hero Akshay has drawn. If Akki doesn’t want the song publicised, then Jain is happy to fall in with his line of thinking.

Jain said, “There is no mystery as to why the wet song is not playing. De Dana Dan is a comedy, it has 26 artistes, and I personally think that the songs playing on TV do more justice to the ensemble cast, than the wet song can.”
After great deliberation, Akshay added, “The hot song is good, but it is definitely not in sync with the theme of the film.” So did Akshay shoot the song only to please Priyadarshan?

Hero's Romance With Professor's Daughter

Well, before you jump into a conclusion that this is something that happened for real, we are talking about something that has happened on reel. Yes, all this is happening for the new movie in Bollywood that is all set to hit the screens soon.

Sources reveal that there is a scene in the new movie ‘Three Idiots’ which has been taken quite sensuously. This has the hot star Kareena Kapoor, the only female lead who happens to be the daughter of a professor in the film. The student is none other than Aamir Khan and it seems that the scene has come out really well. They engage in sexual act in professor’s house and that was shot in the most sensuous way as per sources.

The film is slated for release on December 25th and this has been directed by Rajkumar Hirani while Vidhu Vinod Chopra is the producer. So get ready for some hot stuff between the student and professor’s daughter folks.

My backless shot not vulgar: Bebo

Kareena Kapoor says there is nothing "vulgar" about her backless shot being used for the publicity posters of forthcoming release "Kurbaan", an intense thriller about terrorism. In fact, she says, it subtly reveals a lot about the story.

"This shot of me in a backless posture and Saif with a wound on his chest tell so much about the film's theme," Kareena told IANS. "There is love, passion and violence - all combined in here and what better way than to show it through a single still? You too would agree that there is nothing sleazy or vulgar about it. Knowing the sensibilities of Karan Johar (producer) and Rensil D'Silva (director), that's the least one could have expected," she added.

Kareena said that after Geet in "Jab We Met", her character of Avantika in "Kurbaan" will make people sit up and take notice. "The girl's role has a lot of edge in 'Kurbaan', something which starts becoming more and more visible as the film unfolds. In any case the film is not one of those cliched love stories. Every character has quite a few layers to it and Avantika, the character I play, is no exception. She is quite pivotal to 'Kurbaan'," she said.

Kareena plays a professor in "Kurbaan" who gets married to her colleague, played by Saif Ali Khan.


They move to New York after marriage, but as a series of events unfold she finds herself into a vortex of danger and intrigue. She further realises that she is a pawn in a huge game and no one could be trusted. "What made this role special is the fact that I play this young beautiful professor who is quite normal. She reacts to terrorism for the first time and life is never the same again for her," she said.
"Actually if you ask me, then technically 'Kurbaan' is the story of this girl. She is the light of the screen. I am sure people will cry with Avantika...so strong is her characterisation," the actress said. After "Jab We Met", Kareena was seen in "Main Aurr Mrs Khanna", "Kambakkth Ishq", "Tashan" and "Golmaal Returns". And except "Golmaal Returns", none of the films did well at the box office.

Kareena is delighted about the prospects of audiences seeing her in a different light after the film and says it is not a frothy romance drama. "'Kurbaan' has a deep-rooted love story to it, but it is not a frothy romantic film that we are time and again exposed to. The love story is much deeper here. There is a definite meaning, purpose and reason to it. Also, the film is quite powerful in its own way since it's the voice of moderate Islam," she said. The film, which also stars Vivek Oberoi, Om Puri, Kirron Kher and Dia Mirza, is releasing Nov 20.

Abhishek Bachchan & Kareena Kapoor turn a new leaf Making a fresh start

Bollywood lost a good onscreen jodi on the day Karisma Kapoor broke her marriage with Abhishek Bachchan. It created such a rift between the Bachchans and the family of Randhir Kapoor that none from the Bachchan family worked with either Kareena Kapoor or Karisma thereafter.

Incidentally, Kareena and Abhishek Bachchan started their Bollywood journey with the same film, Refugee, and might have emerged as a pair to reckon with on screen. The two have avoided working together ever since Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon six years ago.

But now, Abhishek and Bebo are set to turn a new leaf. The duo seems to have agreed to let the demons of the past rest in peace and make a fresh start.

While previously they would not even entertain the thought of working together, now they have begun to consider the projects aimed at casting them.

Tarun Mansukhani, for instance, is learnt to be interested in roping in Kareena for the sequel to Dostana. Abhi and John Abraham are already confirmed for ‘Dostana 2’ and Kareena is most likely to be signed on as the new heroine.
