SS Rajamouli’s Train On Lorry

The super hit director S S Rajamouli is always known as the tough taskmaster and discipline is the key while he is at work. However, it is not just that alone and he is a bundle of brains as well. The following is an example of how Rajamouli and his team came up with something interesting.

Apparently, there is a train episode in the film ‘Maryada Ramanna’ and the truth is, it is not a real train. The reason is that earlier taking the trains for rent would cost 25k per day but now it has gone upto Rs 4 lakhs per day. Just when he had to think twice, his art director Ravi came up with an idea.

He roped in an Ashok Leyland truck and removed the backside of the truck keeping the chassis intact. Here, he has arranged for a real train compartment to be put. After that, those who saw the film are finding it hard to believe that the train scenes were in fact taken on road on a truck than the railway tracks. Way to go Rajamouli and Ravi.
