Maytas Infra board meets in Delhi

A crucial meeting of the Board of Directors of Maytas Infra was held in New Delhi on Friday just three days ahead of the outcome on the petition filed by the company challenging the State Government’s decision to invite re-bids for Metro Rail project.

The company, it is learnt, discussed the status of legal cases and particularly the case related to Metro Rail project in detail as it was gearing up for the court hearing on August 11.

As disclosed by the Directors two weeks ago, the company is believed to be still keen on the Metro project and is confident of firming up a financial tie-up with a Singapore firm for Rs.250 crore to keep itself in the reckoning for the Metro Rail project.

It is learnt that the Machilipatnam Port project was also discussed in the meeting and that the company would achieve financial closure in about month-and-a-half.

Meanwhile, a company release said that the meeting reviewed the overall manpower position of company.
