Two IPS officers suspended

The state has suspended two senior IPS officers, holding them indirectly responsible for the suspicious death of armed reserve constable, P. Muralinath, in Madhya Pradesh.
Mr Vivek Dubey, additional director general of police of the anti-terror unit Octopus, and Mr Abraham Lincoln, line commandant of the State Armed Reserve Central Police, were suspended.
The principal secretary (political), Mr R.M. Gonela, said in the suspension order that Mr Dubey had asked the constable to work at his family home at Noida illegally and was indirectly responsible for the latter’s death.
Despite having no authority to do so, he had asked Mr Lincoln to send the constable to work at Noida. Sources said Muralinath was working at the cost of the state for the past two years at Mr Dubey’s house. He died on his way back to Hyderabad near Gwalior.
