టీఆర్ఎస్ యువనేత - తెలంగాణ యువ మంత్రి కల్వకుంట్ల తారకరామారావు (కేటీఆర్) సోషల్ మీడియాలో ఎంత స్పీడుగా ఉంటారో అందరికీ తెలిసిందే. సోషల్ మీడియా వేదిక ట్విట్టర్ యమా యాక్టివ్ గా ఉండే కేటీఆర్.. దాని వేదికగా తనకు వచ్చే ఫిర్యాదులపై చాలా క్విక్గా రియాక్ట్ అవుతూ ఉంటారు. ఈ తరహా క్విక్ రియాక్షన్ తో కేటీఆర్ చాలా సమస్యలను క్షణాల్లో పరిష్కరించేశారు కూడా. కేటీఆర్ కు ఉన్న ఈ హ్యాబిట్ ను తెలుసుకున్న జనం కూడా తమకు ఎదరైన సమస్యలను ట్విట్టర్ వేదికగానే కేటీఆర్ కు తెలిపేందుకు యత్నిస్తున్నారు. అదే సమయంలో ట్విట్టర్ వేదికగా తనకు అందుతున్న ఆయా సమస్యలను కేటీఆర్ అంతే వేగంగానే పరిష్కరించేస్తున్నారు. తాజాగా ఈ తరహాలోనే కేటీఆర్ పరిష్కరించిన ఓ ఆసక్తికరమైన సమస్య ఇప్పుడు సోషల్ మీడియాలో వైరల్ గా మారిపోయింది. ట్విట్టర్ వేదికగా వచ్చిన ఓ ఫిర్యాదుకు కేటీఆర్ చాలా వేగంగా స్పందించిన నేపథ్యంలో అప్పటిదాకా స్కూల్ ఫీజులు కట్టలేక... బడి మానేసి టీ బాయ్ గా మారిన ఓ చాయ్ వాలా నేరుగా సర్కారీ రెసిడెన్షియల్ స్కూల్లో పడిపోయాడు.

ఈ ఆసక్తికర ఘటన వివరాల్లోకి వెళితే... హైదరాబాదులోని బంజారా హిల్స్ రోడ్ నెం:10లో ఉన్న సిటీ సెంటర్ మాల్ వద్ద రోడ్డుపై వెలసిన ఓ టీ కొట్టులో 15 ఏళ్ల వయసున్న సమీయుద్దీన్ పైజాన్ అనే బాలుడు టీ అమ్ముతున్నాడు. అప్పటిదాకా ఓ ప్రైవేట్ స్కూల్లో విద్యనభ్యసించే పైజాన్... ఆ తర్వాత బడి మానేయడానికి అతడి కుటుంబ ఆర్థిక పరిస్థితులే కారణమట. స్కూల్ ఫీజులు కట్టలేక తండ్రి చేతులెత్తేయడంతో పైజాన్ స్కూల్ బ్యాగును ఇంటిలో పడేసి టీ కేటిల్ పట్టుకోక తప్పలేదు. అయితే ఈ పరిస్థితిని గమనించిన రియాజుద్దీన్ అనే యువకుడు పైజాన్ దీన గాథను కేటీఆర్ ట్విట్టర్ ఖాతాలో పోస్ట్ చేశాడు. ఈ పోస్ట్తో పాటు టీ అమ్ముకుంటున్న పైజాన్ ఫొటోను జత చేసిన రియాజుద్దీన్.... ప్రభుత్వం తలచుకుంటే ఆ టీ బాయ్.. మళ్లీ బడిలో చేరతాడంటూ కేటీఆర్ కు ఓ విజ్ఞప్తిని పెట్టాడు.

ఈ ట్వీట్ కు క్విక్ గా రియాక్ట్ అయిన కేటీఆర్... పైజాన్ చదువు ప్రభుత్వానిదే బాధ్యత అన్న రీతిలో స్పందించడమే కాకుండా ప్రభుత్వ రెసిడెన్షియల్ పాఠశాలలో పైజాన్ ను చేర్పించేందుకు చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని రిప్లై ఇచ్చారట. రిప్లై ఇవ్వడంతోనే సరిపెట్టని కేటీఆర్.. సదరు ట్వీట్ ను రెసిడెన్షియల్ పాఠశాలలను పర్యవేక్షించే సంస్థ అధికారులకు పంపించి... తక్షణమే పైజాన్ విద్యాభ్యాసానికి అవసరమైన ఏర్పాట్లు చేయాలని ఆదేశాలు జారీ చేశారట. కేటీఆర్ ఆదేశాలతో వెంటనే రంగంలోకి దిగిపోయిన అధికారులు పైజాన్ తల్లిదండ్రులతో మాట్లాడి ఇప్పటికే వివరాలు సేకరించారట. ఇక రేపో - మాపో పైజాన్ టీ కేటిల్ ను నడి రోడ్డు మీదే వదిలేసి... చక్కగా రెసిడెన్షియల్ పాఠశాల మెట్లు ఎక్కడం గ్యారెంటీగానే కనిపిస్తోంది.

"థ్యాంక్స్ `అర్జున్ రెడ్డి`......మిమ్మల్ని గారు అని సంబోధిస్తే బాగుండ‌దేమో" అంటూ సరదాగా రిప్లై ఇచ్చారు. దీంతో, వీరిద్ద‌రి సంభాష‌ణ ఉన్న ట్వీట్లు సోషల్ మీడియాలో వైర‌ల్ అయ్యాయి.

అందుకే ఇప్పుడు ఈ హోర్డింగులు చూస్తున్న యాంటీ టీఆర్ఎస్ వారందరూ.. తెలుగుకు తెగులొచ్చింది అంటూ కామెంట్ చేస్తున్నారు. ఆ లెక్కన చూస్తుంటే రేపు 15వ తారీఖు నుండి జరిగే సభలను కూడా విమర్శించడానికి చాలామంది కంకణం కొట్టుకుని రెడీగా ఉండేలా ఉన్నారే. మరి చూద్దాం వీటన్నింటినీ కెసిఆర్ ఎలా తిప్పికొడతారో!!

బాబు హోటల్ బిల్లెంతో తెలిస్తే.. కళ్లు బైర్లు కమ్ముతాయి!

మూడేళ్ల కిందట ముఖ్యమంత్రి హోదాలోకి వచ్చిన తెలుగుదేశం అధినేత చంద్రబాబు నాయుడు.. హైదరాబాద్ లోని తన ఇంటిని కూల్చి కొత్తగానిర్మించుకునే క్రమంలో ఒక స్టార్ హోటల్ లో మకాం పెట్టిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. ఒకవైపు విజయవాడ ప్రాంతంలో నూతనంగా తనకు ప్రభుత్వ ఖర్చుతోనే నివాసాన్ని ఏర్పరుచుకున్నారు చంద్రబాబు. అయితే కుటుంబం నివసించేందుకు అంటూ.. ప్రభుత్వ ఖర్చుతో హైదరాబాద్ లో ని హోటల్ పార్క్ హయత్ లో మకాం పెట్టారు. ఏపీ ముఖ్యమంత్రికి ప్రభుత్వం ఖర్చుతో నిర్వహించబడే రెండు గెస్టౌస్ లు కాక.. ఈ హోటల్ అకామడేషన్ అదనంగా ఉండింది. అయితే తాజాగా బాబు ఇంటి పని పూర్తి అయ్యింది. దాదాపు నూటా యాభై కోట్ల రూపాయలు వెచ్చించి చంద్రబాబు నూతనంగా ఇల్లు కట్టుకున్నారు. ఈ ఇంటి గురించి చెప్పుకోవాల్సిన అబ్బురాలు ఎన్నో ఉన్నాయి. ఆ సంగతలా ఉంటే.. హోటల్ పార్క్ హయత్ ను చంద్రబాబు కుటుంబం ఖాళీ చేయడంతో.. దాని బిల్లు గురించి ఇప్పుడు చర్చ మొదలైంది. బాబు కుటుంబం కొన్ని నెలల పాటు అక్కడ నివసించింది. దీంతో రమారమీ ఇరవై కోట్ల రూపాయల బిల్లు అయ్యిందని టాక్. ఈ డబ్బు అంతా ఏపీ ప్రభుత్వ ఖాతా నుంచే చెల్లించాల్సి ఉంది. ఇన్ని రోజులూ హైదరాబాద్ లో సీఎం అధికారిక నివాసం హోటల్ పార్క్ హయత్ గా చలామణి అయ్యింది. ఐదు నక్షత్రాల హోటల్ లో బస చేస్తున్న ఏకైక ముఖ్యమంత్రిగా బాబు నిలిచారు. ఇప్పుడు ఖాళీ చేసిన క్రమంలో ఇరవై కోట్ల రూపాయల మొత్తాన్ని ప్రభుత్వ ఖాతా నుంచి చెల్లించనున్నారని సమాచారం. మరి దీనిపై సమాచార హక్కు చట్టం కింద దరఖాస్తు చేస్తే అసలు విషయం బయటకు వస్తుంది. కచ్చితమైన మొత్తం ఎంతో తెలుస్తోంది.

Preference To Dasari Irks Seniors?

The other day YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has visited the house of former minister and director Dasari Narayana Rao and invited him to join YSRCP. If reports are anything to by, Dasari would soon be jumping into YSR Congress. While political pundits are not sure how much it'd fetch Jagan, his party, the inside buzz is that already Jagan is facing backlash in his own party. Senior Kapu leaders like Botsa Satyanarayana are said to be irked with the whole episode and apparently Jagan himself going to the house of Dasari has upset Botsa. Had Jagan also took Botsa along with him, this would have a different effect and ball game altogether. But unlike this, Jagan leaving behind Botsa and preferring Dasari is now going to create new problems for Jagan within the party. Usually, Jagan doesn't entertain anyone within the party. This is the often-heard complaint from several senior leaders of the party and this apparently is the reason several leaders have ditched Jagan. Also, it needs to be seen how Dasari is going to help Jagan.

Dasari - Jagan's Friendship: Equations To Be Changed In Tollywood?

The ongoing political developments in Andhra Pradesh are going to affect the equations in Tollywood too. Dasari Narayana Rao, the veteran director, would soon be joining YS Jagan's YSRCP severing his association with Congress party. He served as Union Minister in the last UPA regime but he currently has no good equations with the high command of the party. YS Jagan yesterday formally met Dasari at his residence and had a long chat. Though Dasari didn't reveal his plans, it is expected that he would be joining YSRCP pretty soon. Since Dasari holds huge following in Tollywood as a prominent personality of the industry, equations in the movie industry are bound to change. Although he doesn't have cordial relations with Chiranjeevi and his group who belong to the Congress party, he is close to Pawan Kalyan who also promised to do a movie for Dasari's production house later this year. Pawan Kalyan fought against Y S Jagan in the last general elections. Now it would be interesting to see how the equations between Pawan Kalyan and Dasari turn out.

తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీకి తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్రంలో ఎంపీ గా ఉన్న ఒకే ఒక్కడు మల్లారెడ్డి. పలు విద్యాసంస్థలకు అధినేత అయిన మల్లారెడ్డి.. రాజకీయ అరంగేట్రంలో తన తొలి ప్రయత్నంలోనే ఎంపీ అయిపోయారు. తాజాగా ఆయనకేంద్రమంత్రి పదవి మీద కూడా కన్నేసినట్లు కనిపిస్తోంది. తెలంగాణలో తెలుగుదేశం పార్టీని బలోపేతం చేసుకోవాలంటే, ఈ ప్రాంతంనుంచి కూడా పార్టీకి ఒక కేంద్రమంత్రి పదవి అయినా ఉండాలనే విధంగా అధినేత ముందుకు ప్రతిపాదనలు తీసుకువెళుతున్నారు. అంటే ఇక పార్టీకి ఉన్న ఒకే ఒక్క ఎంపీ మల్లారెడ్డి గనుక.. ఆయనకు కేంద్రంలో ఏదో ఒకస్థాయిలో మంత్రి పదవి ఇప్పించాల్సిందిగా విజ్ఞప్తి చేయడం అన్నమాట. ఇలా మల్లారెడ్డికి పదవి ఇప్పించడానికి ఎర్రబెల్లి దయాకరరావు ఇండైరక్టు పైరవీలు చేస్తుండడం విశేషం. ఈ సార్వత్రిక ఎన్నికల్లో యావత్‌ తెలంగాణలో.. దాదాపుగా తెరాస అనుకూలంగా ప్రజాతీర్పు వెలువడే పరిస్థితిని పార్టీలు ముందే అంచనా వేశాయి. సెటిలర్ల సంఖ్య ఎక్కువగా ఉన్నందువలన.. తెదేపాకు అనుకూలత ఉంటుందని భావించే మల్కాజ్‌గిరి సీటును తీవ్రమైన పోటీ మధ్య తనకు దక్కించుకోవడమే మల్లారెడ్డి తొలి విజయంగా అప్పట్లో అందరూ చెప్పుకున్నారు. పైగా ఆ నియోజకవర్గంలో జయప్రకాశ్‌నారాయణ్‌, ప్రొఫెసర్‌ నాగేశ్వర్‌ వంటి అనేక మంది ప్రముఖులు పోటీ పడినా కూడా.. మల్లారెడ్డి విజయం సాధించారు. ఆయన లక్‌ఏంటంటే.. మొత్తం తెలంగాణలో మరో తెదేపా ఎంపీ గెలవకపోవడం. పైగా భాజపాకు కూడా ఒకే ఎంపీ ఉండడం. కాబట్టి ఎలాంటి కాంబినేషన్లు సెట్‌ చేసినా.. తెలంగాణ కోటాలో రెండు ఇవ్వదలచుకున్నా సరే.. మిత్రపక్షం గనుక.. తనకు ఒక మంత్రిపదవి గ్యారంటీ అని మల్లారెడ్డి కలగన్నారు. కానీ అది జరగలేదు. చంద్రబాబు కూడా పెద్ద సీరియస్‌గా పట్టించుకోలేదు. నిజానికి మధ్యలో ఒకసారి తన నియోజకవర్గ పరిధిలో జరిగిన కార్యక్రమంలో కేసీఆర్‌ వంటి ముఖ్యమంత్రిని తన జీవితంలో చూడనే లేదంటూ తెగ కీర్తించారు. స్వయానా తన వియ్యంకుడు తీగల కృష్ణారెడ్డి కూడా తెదేపానుంచి తెరాసలోకి పార్టీమారిపోయి ఉన్న నేపథ్యంలో.. మల్లారెడ్డి కూడా అటువైపు చూస్తున్నాడా అనే విమర్శలు వచ్చాయి. అయితే.. ఆయన గులాబీతీర్థం పుచ్చుకోలేదు గానీ.. తెదేపాలోనే ఉండి ఇంకా మంత్రి పదవి అవకాశాల కోసం నిరీక్షిస్తున్నారు. తాజాగా విజయవాడకు వెళ్లి చంద్రబాబుతో భేటీ అయిన తెలుగుదేశం నాయకుల్లో ఆయన కూడా ఉన్నారు. పైగా చంద్రబాబుతో ఎర్రబెల్లి.. తెలంగాణ నుంచి తమ పార్టీ నేతలు ఎవ్వరికీ కేంద్రమంత్రి పదవి దక్కలేదని ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేయడం కూడా ఆయన కోసమే అని పలువురు విశ్లేషిస్తున్నారు. ఎంతగా ఎర్రబెల్లి పైరవీ చేసినా.. చంద్రబాబు, మల్లారెడ్డికి మంత్రిపదవి ఇప్పించడం కల్లేనని పార్టీ వర్గాలు చెబుతున్నాయి.

Sharmila For Vizag, Ongole for YVS

Finally, the suspense is over. The little misunderstanding in YSRCP has been cleared. Jagan’s sister Sharmila will be contesting the polls from the Vizag constituency. Similarly, the party has confirmed the Ongole seat for YV Subbareddy. Jagan has actually planned to field his sister from Telangana and Sharmila was keen on contesting from Cuddapah. So, there was some confusion for a while within the party. There were rumours that Sharmila had distanced herself from the party for not being allotted the party ticket of her choice. Another rumour was that YV Subbareddy too was planning to quit the party. Now that the party has confirmed seats for both of them, they are both said to be quite pleased. Since the talk about Sharmila being given the Vizag seat has been around for a while now, the party cadre is already prepared to support her there. The party cadre is confident that Sharmila will win from Vizag.

Couples With Hot Affairs In Theatre

The biggest challenge for those who are in love or having an affair is a place where they can spend time in private. Quite often we see young love birds hanging out on roads, multiplexes, benches of Tank Bund and some unusual places in Hyderabad. But here is one place which has become quite a hot destination. This is the Cineplanet Multiplex in Kompally. Reports say lately a lot of young couples are being spotted in that multiplex and they don’t mind watching back to back films in the multiplex (not that they actually watch the film). Buzz is that since it is located away from the city, the couples are having food at Medchal Dhabas. From there, they come to Kompally and enter into CinePlanet to continue their hot affair inside the theatre. In this process, it is heard that the multiplex is showing good occupancy especially during the weekdays which is making the management happy. Basically it looks like a win-win situation is happening.

TDP leader Yerran Naidu dies in road accident

Telugu Desam Party's senior leader and former Central Minister K. Yerran Naidu died in a road accident in Andhra Pradesh's Srikakulam district early on Friday. He was 55. The mishap took place when a car, in which he was travelling, hit an oil tanker from behind near Ranasthalam in Srikakulam district in north coastal Andhra Pradesh, about 700 km from Hyderabad, around 2 a.m. Naidu, a politburo member of TDP, was returning to Srikakulam from Visakhapatnam, after attending a marriage when the accident occurred. A profusely bleeding Naidu was shifted to Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), where the doctors' efforts to resuscitate him failed. He was declared dead around 3.30 a.m. Four others travelling with Naidu were also injured. Two of them were admitted to RIMS. Yerran Naidu, a four-time MP who served as Union Minister for Rural Development from 1996 to 1998, is survived by wife, a son and a daughter. The last rites will be performed at his native village Nimmada in Srikakulam district on Friday.

And that is the perfect adage for many in the Tollywood circuit. The itch they have for pomp and show-off is extreme. That buildup factor is considered necessary and in that process they get into the luxury fever. For starters, a mania of Range Rovers has gripped the cine folks. Frankly, not even half of them would know the features and why it has to be bought but it is taken. Secondly, there is the gadget mania. If someone has purchased iPhone 5 in the industry, everyone will start scrambling to buy that at the earliest. More than the utility, it is all about buildup and ‘keeping in tune with the trend’. But in this process, there are many who are getting burdened with debts and inflated egos. Sad but true…

Opinion: Attack on Jagan to the Hilt

Is the justice fair and equal for everyone in our country? Can people in power (Sonia/CBI), the influential yellow media (Eenadu/Andhra Jyothy/TV9), combined with an opposition leader (Chandrababu) that is more interested in coming back to power than addressing peoples’ problems go after one individual (Jagan) and subject him to all sorts of legal troubles, just because they cannot face him democratically? That they cannot face him in elections had been proved thrice already – Kadapa bi-elections, Kovvur bi-election, and the bi-elections to 18 Assembly and Nellore Parliament seat, where YSRCP won more votes than all the other political parties contested! Is festering Jagan with cases that cannot be proved in courts but make it harder for him to get bail the only way these three modern day untouchables - Congress (losing one MP seat a day and surely going down to less than 100 in 2014), Yellow Media (losing readers everyday), and Chandrababu (no hope of winning over masses - ever) can face Jagan? How else can anyone explain the multiple CBI charge-sheets, some sensational or other news or requests just before the court hears Jagan’s bail petition, and some yellow media/TDP accusations of Jagan influencing CBI or courts? They are all designed to put pressure on the courts not to grant bail, so they can have him behind the bars for a long time. The main argument of the government (CBI) has been that Jagan will influence the witnesses, yet they cannot show one iota of evidence to this effect. The open collusion of Sonia, TDP, CBI and yellow media has been evident to anyone with a head on their shoulders, but this would not deter them for going after Jagan is really shameless! Yellow Media prediction for the past few weeks that the Enforcement Directorate (ED) would attach the properties of Jagan has come to reality. One thing we all have to accept is that yellow media has been right on dot for the past couple of years, and they should be thankful to Congress party and CBI. CBI JD Laxminarayana call list contained several hundred unethical calls to the yellow media, in spite of his busiest schedule. Instead of CBI pulling up its Joint Director for making these unethical calls, it actually went after the people that got his call list out! The CPI, CPM, Loksatta that cried foul when Margadarsi was served notices by YSR government saying that it was an attack on freedom of press, don’t even say a word on attack on Sakshi and Jagan is testament to their real intentions then and now! These powers are trying to crush YS Jagan politically and tarnish the legend of YSR. The investigative agencies like CBI, ED, in collusion with the judiciary have become part and parcel of the whole episode. This has, in essence pushed the democracy off the cliff. We have to understand that we have reached a point of no return. The democratic values got so devalued in the state in the past couple of years that both Congress party and TDP have colluded shamelessly in destroying the credibility of the independent agencies and the honor of the judiciary. What used to be foul plays in the background previously have now become shamelessly open! How else can we explain Jagan, who never was part of any government gets arrested by CBI in misuse of power and kept in jail without bail, while Chandra Babu, who was wielding power while presiding over many, many scandals would get scot free? The courageous tiger is caged and the wily cat is doing its stage managed walk in the direction of the movie directors! Where are they (Congress/TDP) taking our democracy to? A two page letter by a self proclaimed mad dog (Sankar Rao) at the behest of Sonia (he admitted categorically) prompted a judge Kakru to order full blown CBI investigation. Sankar Rao was awarded a ministry and Kakru a cabinet rank HRC Chairmanship. A two thousand page petition, with pin point proofs by Vijayamma was tossed away by judge Rohini, who was appointed to High Court by Chandra Babu. Sonia is fine with all this as Chandrababu colluded with her. Is this natural justice? None would concur. Sonia flouted the democratic values all her life. Antonia Edvige Albina Maino (Sonia) can attack the son of soil (Jagan) and modern day Jayachandra (Chandrababu) is there to help, thinking that he would rule our land! Telangana march called off; 48-hour bandh called

After defying the 7 pm deadline set by the police, thousands of protesters called off Telangana march in Hyderabad on Sunday evening. But not before the Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) called for a 48-hour bandh from Monday to put pressure on the government to come to a decision on its demand for a separate state. "We are asking for an announcement of a road map on accepting the Telangana demand. Let's sit here as long as we can. We are not troubling anybody by sitting here," he said, while addressing the protesters. The JAC has called for a 48-hour bandh from tomorrow. Violent clashes broke out between pro-Telangana supporters and the police in several parts of the tension-ridden city today with the activists torching police vehicles, pelting stones and damaging rail and private property. In a massive show of strength, thousands of protesters defied prohibitory orders and joined the 'Telangana march' to press their demand for a separate state. A bandh has been called tomorrow by the Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC), spearheading the agitation. The Osmania university has postponed examinations scheduled for tomorrow. At a late night press conferece, Police Commissioner Anurag Sharma said certain left wing extremist groups have infiltrated the movement and were suspected to be behind the violence. He said SP (Intelligence) Rajashekhar was seriously injured in the clashes which also left an inspector and 17 constables with injuries. He said five protesters were injured. He said 25 police vehicles were damaged of which three were torched. He said several people including some TDP MLAs, who were staging a dharna outside the Secretariat have been taken into preventive custody. Violating prohibitory orders, the Telangana supporters headed towards the Necklace Road at Hussain Sagar lake, the venue of the event, and clashed with security personnel on their way. Incidents of violence were reported from the Osmania University campus, Khairatabad and the Andhra Pradesh Secretariat. When they were stopped from passing by the Secretariat road and some other areas where prohibitory orders were in place, the protesters pelted stones and tried to remove the barricades which prompted the security personnel to lob tear gas shells after trying to chase them away. Reason Behind Not Finding Famous X-Road Theatres

Though we are living in the age of multiplexes and moving towards a different culture of cinema viewing, the authentic and standard format has always been the stand alone theaters. In Hyderabad, it was the RTC Crossroads which is considered the hub for deciding the fate of any film.

Even today, there is a cluster of theatres which has become the major source of entertainment. But then, many Tollywood folks are stating that they are finding it hard to get a theatre in that area. The key reason for that is, some of the iconic theaters are currently transforming into multiplexes there.

Notable among them is Sudarshan 70 mm and recently the Odeon complex also got demolished. So, among the good theatres, it is only Sandhya, Devi, Sudarshan 35 mm which are remaining. Some say the day is not far when they will also become extinct and the historic Crossroads will become a hub of multiplexes.

Jagan Mohan Reddy arrives for grilling session at CBI office

YSR Cong Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy has arrived at the CBI office in Hyderabad after being summoned in the disproportionate assets case. The CBI will also probe his involvement in the illegal mining scam and his connection with the Reddy Brothers.

Recently, a CBI team arrived at Jagan's Lotus pond residence near Banjara Hills in Hyderabad to evaluate his residence that has been in the news for its grandeur and sheer opulence.

Jagan was dragged to the illegal mining controversy after he was found to have dubious links to Gali Janardhan Reddy, the mining kingpin from Bellary.

Gali wants 'special prisoner' status!

Mining czar and former Karnataka tourism minister Gali Janardhan Reddy, who has been in the jail for nearly two months in connection with the illegal iron ore mining case, has fed up with the ill-treatment being given to him by the Chanchalguda jail authorities.

He, along with his brother-in-law B V Srinivasa Reddy, made a petition in the CBI special court on Monday, seeking “special prisoner” status for them in the jail.

“In view of our social status and health conditions, we request you to allot us “A” category cell in the jail,” they requested.

At present, Gali and Srinivasa Reddy are being treated as ordinary prisoners. If they get special status, they would have a spacious cell along with cot and bed; aircoolers, special food from outside and clothes. The court has sought objections from the CBI and also the jail authorities and posted the case to Wednesday.

'3 Lakh NRIs Likely To Return Home'

Amid uncertain job market conditions overseas, as many as 3,00,000 Indian engineering professionals are expected to return home during the five-year period from 2011-15, says a survey.

Global workforce solutions provider Kelly Services India has said that more Indians working abroad would migrate back to India within the next five years, lured by promising opportunities in the country.

"An estimated 3,00,000 Indian professionals working overseas are expected to return between 2011-2015 ... for majority of reverse migrants, job satisfaction levels in India will outshine their previous overseas jobs within the next 2-3 years," Kelly Services India said in a report released today.

The findings are based on a survey of 1,000 respondents from different parts of India as well as foreign countries.

"... the most critical driver of reverse migration trends will be job satisfaction levels.

"Though 48 per cent of respondents who favoured the job satisfaction overseas indicated that the key reason for them was high remuneration, they also indicated that growth opportunities abroad are rather bleak with only 10 per cent respondents feeling that opportunities abroad are favourable," the report said.

India is estimated to have received USD 55 billion remittances from overseas last year.

Going by estimates, the population of international migrants stood at around 214 million in 2010.

"The sustained growth of India and the resilience India showed during the slow down also has added dynamic transition and movement back to India," Kelly Services India Managing Director Kamal Karanth said.

As per the survey, one of the key reasons for reverse migration during 2008-2011 period were insecure job market overseas.

"Karnataka is the most preferred Indian state to live for reverse migrants at 88 per cent followed by Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Delhi & Punjab at 72 per cent, 66 per cent, 65 per cent, 58 per cent, 55 per cent and 48 per cent, respectively," Kelly Services India said.

Karanth noted that with the government spending large amounts of capital on infrastructure and living amenities, an increasing number of happy, contented and excited Indians are eager to relocate back. (PTI)
