As expected Telugu film actor and Telugu Desam women’s wing president, R.K. Roja, resigned from the party on Monday.
In a letter addressed to the party president, N. Chandrababu Naidu, Ms. Roja thanked him for giving her an opportunity to serve the party in various capacities during the last ten years. “As your true follower I did my best to discharge the duties assigned to me in a responsible manner.” But for all the work she had done for the party, she said she was meted injustice twice in the last two general elections. On Monday, she was believed to have met Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy. There was no reaction from the Telugu Desam Party.
