Nayan is not in my film, says Prabhu

Prabhu Deva categorically denies any plans of starting a sequel to his recently-acclaimed Hindi debut film, Wanted, contradictory to what has appeared in some sections of the media.

When Prabhu Deva was contacted, he said, “Though the film is a big hit, it is not that easy to start a sequel to any subject. Where is the script for the new film? Moreover Salman is extremely busy with three projects, all of which are under production. But I am not totally ruling out the possibility of making another film in Bollywood. It’s just that it may take a long time before that happens.”

Meanwhile, it’s official. As reported first by this newspaper, Prabhu Deva is back to directing a Tamil film after he completes his present film Kalavadiya Pozhudhugal under Thangar Bachchan’s direction. The new movie stars Jeyam Ravi in the lead. Industry sources also say that Anushka, who is riding high in Kollywood, is being considered, “I am working on the finer details of the script. The heroine has not yet been finalised. A few of them are under consideration,” he said.

Is Nayan also on the list? He nixed this firmly. “Not at all. People even wrote that I am taking Nayanthara to Bollywood, which is totally untrue.”

Produced by Kalpathy Agoram, Harris Jayaraj has been signed to compose the music. Buzz has it that Shruti Haasan has been approached to star opposite Ravi.. About composer Harris he says, “The film has a musical romantic genre and even as I was writing the script, the first person who hit my mind was Harris Jayaraj. It’s a fun film with romance as the backdrop and Harris is the right person to compose such intense music.”
