It wasn’t one of those star-studded birthdays for namma Ramya on Sunday. he actress spent her day with fans — 75 of them with their families whom she had randomly selected from a networking site — and close friends. Togged in a pink embellished sari, the lass cut a massive cake for fans and was seen posing for pictures and signing autographs on a marathon four-hour spree. “It was really nice to interact with them on such a personal level. Normally, I never get so much time to spend with fans at events or screenings; which is why I decided to dedicate this day to them,” says Ramya. We hear that she received truckloads of gifts — some all the way from Gadag. “I received bangles, bindis, earrings, a painting of myself, perfumes and even a life-size teddy bear,” she laughs. And the highlight of the day? Ramya pledged her eyes — “because appaji is my inspiration” — and her fans followed suit by signing forms for eye donation.
