A little birdie at the hospital tells us that while Raju continues to be in his VIP room, his television connection and also the air conditioner have been removed. Sources say that the authorities did this to comply with the rules governing the stay of prisoners at hospitals for their treatment. While the dipping temperature in the city may have reduced Raju’s need for an AC, the loss of the television, his window to the world outside (not to mention the business channels talking old flame stocks), could be a big one. Also, the land line in his room is now disconnected, say senior Nims officials. Er, but what was it doing there all this while?
