Sania Mirza is having sleepless nights, and these are not pre-wedding jitters. While the controversy about her fiancé, cricketer Shoaib Malik’s alleged first marriage with Hyderabadi girl Ayesha Siddiqui took a bitter turn on Saturday, with both sides sung each other, Sania tweeted and expressed faith in God. “Havn’t slept all night, gonna try and sleep for a couple of hours now... lots to do and face tomorrow,” said one tweet in the early hours on Saturday.
Making it clear that her stress is not the usual pre-wedding blues, she posted, “I am pretty sure these are not the pre-wedding jitters or butterflies in the stomach my married cousins were talking bout!” She added, “...too much going on, never in my life thought that I’d had to worry bout anything.”
The tennis star, who has so far maintained a stoic silence on the controversy, thanked her supporters through Twitter and said, “Thanks for ur support and love... me and my family know what the truth is, we’ve known it all along and we have confidence in god’s justice.”Meanwhile, the couple is said to be scouting for wedding venues in Dubai and Rajasthan, owing to communal tension in Hyderabad.
