We need TV9 'For A Better Society'

How powerful is Electronic Media? It's the most important source for people to gain information about 'What's going on in the World?', 'How the Society is progressing?', 'What are the Existing Problems?' and 'What are the Possibilities to make Things Better?'. But, Can we say that all our News Channels were living up to it? And the answer is a strict NO! The media has become more of a business house now. But still there were few media houses, who work for the betterment of the society and TV9 stands alone in first place!

TV9 lived up to its slogan 'For A Better Society' during the time of floods in Kurnool district, by lending a helping hand to the victims. It supplied food and clothes, Organized Star Night and collected a flood relief fund of around Rs 5 crores, Built houses for the victims and what not? It has done everything, that can be done by a media house.

There were times, when People looked at media channels as nothing other than sources of entertainment. But, TV9 broke the jinx and proved that media is something beyond entertainment, by standing beside the poor and needy people. On many occasions, they preferred allotting 30 min slots for taking up issues related to comman man. Is this not a service motive? and Are they not capable of running stories which increase their TRPs for that slot? But they always believed in "What You Are? and What You Do? is more important than What you get?", which is something appreciable!

TV9 played a vital role in political arena as well. It has always kept the Govt on the toes, by questioning its every move and exposing the things which have gone wrong. Even during the General Elections 2009, TV9 stood neutral without extending support to any political party. On the other hand, every other news channel has paved a way to political parties for cashing on the situation.

Apparently, all these amazing contributions keep TV9 apart from the huge number of channels we have Today. And now it has reached a stage that, we can't imagine our lives without TV9, eventually making it the leading news channel in the state.
