There is often a ‘Chinna Choopu’ when it comes to dubbed movies but still there has been a significant increase in that format. Well, many are getting into the dubbed flicks genre and there is a good business reason behind that. Sources say there is easy and quick money through this.
A noted distributor revealed “It’s simple. The dubbed film can be bought at cheap rate, the dubbing can be done at throw away price and then it is sold for TV channels with comfortable margins. Before that, the satellite rights fetch good price and if needed, a release is done in small theatres.”
He added ”Suresh Kondeti is an expert in this line. He has picked some nice films like ‘Shopping Mall’ and the recent ‘Journey’. That way, he is also becoming an inspiration for others. Of course, one should have the right knowledge about other regional cinemas before they buy any movie.”
