The Telugu Desam Party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu has drawn up a clear-cut plan to bounce back into the reckoning and grab power in the state.
According to this plan, he would provoke the beleaguered IAS officers to name the former Chief Minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy as the fountainhead of corruption.
Naidu has been telling his second-rung leaders to issue statements aimed at mounting pressure on the bureaucrats to admit that YSR was an epitome of corruption and that all the irregularities in allotment of lands and sanction of SEZs and mining leases were done only to benefit Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
By this, Naidu believes that he can hit two birds with one shot.
The Congress government would be branded as corrupt and Jagan’s political career will be finished if the word spreads that the Kadapa MP was the beneficiary of all the scams that were scripted by his father.
Joining the ongoing debate on bureaucracy versus political class, Naidu added a bizarre angle by saying that YSR had distributed “suitcases stuffed with money” to the IAS officers to toe his line and signs the controversial orders.
