The Telugu Desam Party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu has drawn up a clear-cut plan to bounce back into the reckoning and grab power in the state.
According to this plan, he would provoke the beleaguered IAS officers to name the former Chief Minister late Y S Rajasekhar Reddy as the fountainhead of corruption.
Naidu has been telling his second-rung leaders to issue statements aimed at mounting pressure on the bureaucrats to admit that YSR was an epitome of corruption and that all the irregularities in allotment of lands and sanction of SEZs and mining leases were done only to benefit Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
By this, Naidu believes that he can hit two birds with one shot.
The Congress government would be branded as corrupt and Jagan’s political career will be finished if the word spreads that the Kadapa MP was the beneficiary of all the scams that were scripted by his father.
Joining the ongoing debate on bureaucracy versus political class, Naidu added a bizarre angle by saying that YSR had distributed “suitcases stuffed with money” to the IAS officers to toe his line and signs the controversial orders.

Gossip Man Who Is Making Congress 'Piss'
Now that the maverick minister Dr P Shankar Rao is out of the cabinet, the Congress leadership has begun to calculate the amount of damage he can do to the party. There are fears that the eccentric Dalit leader could train his guns at the party leadership and create embarrassment ahead of the elections.
The biggest worry for the Congress is that Shankar Rao might spill the beans about the circumstances surrounding his petition in the High Court that led to the CBI investigation into the alleged illegal assets of YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.
It is widely believed that Shankar Rao was rewarded with a cabinet berth for his campaign against Jagan and dragging him into a legal quagmire. Now, he can turn around and seek to expose the Congress leaders who encouraged him to move the court.
The possibility of the dropped minister staging a revolt is causing concern for the party leadership. Out of power, Shankar Rao can be a loose cannon difficult to control.

Will Dasari Hit A Jackpot?
In a bid to checkmate the actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi and his mentor and PCC Chief Botsa Satyanarayana, the supporters of the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy have come up with a proposal to promote the producer-director and Rajya Sabha member Dasari Narayana Rao to a higher position.
Kiran’s camp feels that Dasari should be projected as a counter-weight to Chiranjeevi who has gained a better bargaining power with the party high command following the merger of his erstwhile Praja Rajyam Party with the Congress.
The Chief Minister’s loyalists have started a campaign for elevating Dasari to a gubernatorial post. It is said that an intense lobbying is on in Delhi to honour Dasari with a Governor’s post for his valuable contribution to the party. Dasari’s present tenure ends in April.
The political rivalry between Dasari and Chiranjeevi is very well known, though both of them belong to Kapu community.
While Botsa has been successfully using Chiranjeevi’s shoulders to fire at the Chief Minister, his rival camp now wants to hit back at him by using Dasari’s goodwill with the high command. Kiran’s supporters are arguing that Dasari should be given an honorable post after his present Rajya Sabha terms ends.

Subbarami Reddy's Sontha Dabba
It is a known fact that former union minister and Rajya Sabha member T Subbarami Reddy is a cheap publicity monger. He does not lose any opportunity to grab the media limelight and get some publicity.
The other day, Subbarami Reddy attended a function organized by the National Thermal Power Corporation at Visakhapatnam to declare the commercial operation of its unit-III of 500 MW capacity.
The chief guest at the function was union power minister Sushil Kumar Shinde.
While welcoming him, NTPC chairman and managing director Aroop Roy Chowdhury reminded the audience that it was the birthday of Shinde. Everybody greeted the union minister and presented him with bouquets.
Subbarami Reddy was perhaps feeling jealous. When his turn came to speak, he said it was a happy occasion, as Shinde was celebrating his birthday by inaugurating the power unit.
“In fact, all great people are born in the month of September. Shinde is one; and Akkineni Nageshwara Rao is another great person to celebrate his birthday this month,” he said, adding: “Of course, my birthday also falls in this month only.”
And when Shinde finally spoke, he had no choice but to great Subbarami Reddy, amidst loud applause from the audience!

Kamma Factionists To Put Spot To Film Producer
The fangs of faction seem to be preparing for another strike. Reports arriving from the Seema regions reveal that the arrest of producer Singanamala Ramesh and a crucial information about him has triggered this new thought. Buzz is that the Kamma factionists are sharpening their knives to target Ramesh.
The reason for this is the tip from the CID sources that Singanamala had a hand in the murder of Paritala Ravi. If that is true then many say that it will be difficult for Ramesh to escape. Already, Ravi’s hardcore followers Pothula Suresh and Chaman are wreaking vengeance and they want to put a full stop to Paritala enemies.
On the other hand, Suresh has come out and has reportedly claimed to lead a normal life. But Chaman is still in hiding as his life is in threat. But if it gets proved that Singanamala was indeed involved in Ravi’s murder then many are worried that more bloodshed will happen. Perhaps this is enough material for director Ramgopal Varma to make ‘Rakta Charitra-3’ let us see if he will take a chance.

Succession war over Sai Baba empire
A succession war is set to erupt among members of the Satya Sai Central Trust as the trustees could not find Satya Sai Baba’s will even after searching for two days in his residence, Yajur Mandir.
According to sources, Sai Baba’s nephew, Mr R.J. Ratnakar, and Baba’s personal assistant, Mr Satyajit, will fight it out over who will control Baba’s empire. The state government, on the other hand, is keen to entrust control of the trust to its members, although the present trustees are respected persons.
Satyajit has reportedly started lobbying as Sai Baba had praised him as well another attendant, Dileep, for their devotion and selfless service towards him. But Baba’s close relatives, who had remained silent all these years, are also expecting key positions on the trust soon. Except Ratnakar, none of Sai Baba’s relatives has held any key post so far.
Only Satyajit knew of Sai inventory
A certified appraiser approved by the income-tax department had assessed the gold and silver ornaments in Yajur Mandir. The cash had been deposited in the trust’s account in the State Bank of India in Puttaparthi. Most of the gold was in the form of statues and idols.
The Baba used to accept donations from VVIPs, including top politicians and celebrities, in the chamber and would keep the same in specially-made cupboards. Only Mr Satyajit, Sai Baba’s personal assistant, knew of the inventory, and none of his family members had any information about it. Sai Baba’s nephew, Mr Ratnakar, said the purpose of the exercise was to make an inventory of the valuables within the premises of Yajur Mandir in a transparent manner. He clarified that no will had been found.

'He Wants Only Women, Not Their Husbands'
Actor couple Jeevitha and Rajasekhar, who has been in the news for the last couple of days for their bashing of YSR Congress Party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, reportedly made derogatory comments about him.
Rajasekhar, in a private conversation to a media friend, reportedly told him that Jagan had his eyes only women and wanted them to appear beside him on all the public meetings, but not their husbands.
“At the Vijayawada deeksha meeting, Jagan was irritated with my presence. He asked me not to wear jean pants and goggles while coming to him. What was more shocking was that Jagan told me to send Jeevitha along with him to all the meetings and asked me to confine to films,” Rajasekhar said.
He told the media friend that all the women leaders surrounding Jagan had kept their husbands at a distance.
“One can see Roja, but not Selvamani; Konda Surekha, but not Konda Murali; Pulla Padmavathi, but not her husband Bhaskar; Jayasudha, not her husband; and Vasireddy Padma, not her husband. Lakshmi Parvathi is allowed because she does not have husband. So, he wanted Jeevitha to stay with him, but not me. That was too much,” he reportedly commented.

'Bezawada Police' Vs 'Kamma-Reddy Students'
A new wave has begun in the city of Vijayawada which is known not only for its passion of cinema but also for the severe caste politics. Unfortunately, this poisonous culture is being spread in the student community by few vicious ring leaders and it is reaching an alarming situation. They are heading the gangs named 'C', 'R' and 'K' means Choudary, Reddy and Kapu. They are also stickering those letters on the bikes with the pictures of NTR, YSR and Chiranjeevi. So now, the Bezawada police have decided to wield its lathi.
The man behind this is the commissioner Seetaramanjaneyulu. He has passed a decree that going triples on bikes, having stickers to their number plates notifying their gang identities will dealt with severely. To start with, heavy fines are being collected and even the parents of the students will be taken to task on discipline.
If students still continue their stunts, then they would be ‘counseled’ in the appropriate way. Sources say that the focus is more on Kamma and Reddy students since they seem to be quite active in the caste gangs and settlement politics. Though the cops are sure that their ‘Counseling’ will go on for a long time, only time will tell who will have the last laugh on this.
