What happened when Aishwarya Rai Bachchan came face-to-face with Katrina Kaif?

The gorgeous leading ladies who have more in common than an ex-lover got into an icky situation on the sets of Dhoom: 3 Our secret agent who is bum-chums with folks in Chicago revealed piping hot news from America’s most windy city. “Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is visiting Abhishek with Beti B Aaradhya, landed on the sets of Dhoom: 3 when the film’s leading lady Katrina Kaif was also present,” said our SA and also told us what happened at that tense moment. It was the first time that the two ladies had come face to face. But the Ash-Kat encounter wasn’t as dramatic as anything you may have seen in a saas-bahu saga, nor was it as superficial as the kiss-kiss thing that is so haute at Page 3 parties. Both lovely ladies were pretty civilised in their behaviour. “But neither the Bachchan bahu nor Kool Kat attempted to go out of their way to accommodate each other. They exchanged a cursory smile and went back to their respective coteries,” we hear. So are you wondering why the two beauties share cold vibes? One: they both at one point were linked to Salman Khan, so there could have been some awkwardness about that history. Two: once the Ek Tha Tiger actor delivered back-to-back commercially hit films, she was offered and accepted brand endorsements that originally belonged to Ash – like Nakshatra jewellery and Barbie. So wethinks their curt behaviour is a result of their professional competition rather than their personal equations with Sallu – remember how while Ash is not in touch with the Khan, even after the break up Katrina is good friends with the entire khandaan? But what do you think? Are these gals still jealous about their ex-man’s involvement with the other lady? Or is it just a work thing that makes vibes between then so thanda?
