Niharika Not Heroine Material?

No doubt, Niharika Konidela has carved out a niche for herself with TV shows and web series. Yet her looks, in the recently released teaser of her debut film Oka Manasu, are not so appealing and they're defying the normal looks of regular heroines. Clad in simple sarees, Niharika looked like girl-next-door and many're wondering whether she is heroine material or not. Well, Niharika might be attempting something new and against traditional heroines who stick to glam roles and she might be testing her hand at non-stereotyped roles. But the moot question is that will Telugu audiences accept her in this avatar? Usually, these kinda roles would be seen in Tamil cinema and audiences there welcome actresses in de-glam avatar with open hands. Even Sri Divya, of Mallela Teeram Lo Sirimalle Chettu, shifted her base to Chennai and she has rung up the ladder in Kollywood with ease. Considering this, it needs to be seen how Telugu audiences would respond to her maiden movie. Let's wait and see.
