Revenge is a serious concept that is usually dealt in a highly
emotional manner. But director Vikram Kumar deals it in a funny way in
his upcoming Gang Leader.
Nani has once again effortlessly got into the skin of the character.
He plays Pencil Parthasaradhi, a writer who is stuck with five women of
all age groups.
They all are set to take revenge on someone powerful (only a glimpse
of Karthikeya is shown). How can Pencil help these vulnerable women seek
revenge is what Gang Leader is all about.
It is not as easy as it sounds, but Vikram has pulled even complex plots with ease.
Vijay Sethupathi and Nayanthara starrer Nanum Rowdy Thaan comes to
mind when we talk about Revenge theme dealt in hilarious fashion. That
film too has vulnerable protagonists taking on an extremely powerful
antagonist.
The Gang of ladies and their Leader's interaction with them is fun to
watch and set good expectations on the film. Mythri Movie Makers seems
to have a winner on hands.
The release date is not mentioned in the teaser as their reserved date has been taken by Saaho.
