‘Buried’ Screenwriter to Pen ‘Twelve Strangers’ for Producer M. Night Shyamalan

Over a year ago M. Night Shyamalan put together a deal with Media Rights Captial to create a label called The Night Chronicles. The first of three films for the label, Devil, is in post-production now.

So it’s time to move forward on the second, to be called Twelve Strangers. We don’t know much about the film right now, but we do know that Buried screenwriter Chris Sparling will write. And we’ve also got a few more details on M. Night’s mystery script that he’s shopping in Hollywood right now.

Beyond Sparling’s involvement, all we really know about Twelve Strangers is that it will be a thriller that “involves a jury deliberating a case involving the supernatural,” according to Deadline. We know Sparling can do some good work with thrillers, as we saw his script Buried quickly turned into a one-man show with Ryan Reynolds that garnered some acclaim and a quick distribution deal at Sundance.

And what of that screenplay that we told you Shyamalan was shopping around earlier this week? A lot of people immediately jumped to the Unbreakable 2 conclusion, thanks to the possible involvement of Bruce Willis, and general hope for that film. But the fact that he is shopping the script should have been enough to tell you that wasn’t what the film will be — you think Disney is going to let another studio have the sequel to one of its movies? Not likely.

But Deadline has got a few details now: supposedly the attached Bradley Cooper would play a father desperately searching for his child. The site says “It might stray into Taken terrain, but the father taps into some supernatural powers to aid the search.” Universal is currently the most interested studio, but the film could end up somewhere else, and the attached cast isn’t final by any means.

Kim Kardashian Clarifies Latest Dating Rumor

The reality tv star Kim Kardashian finds it amusing about the rumors that she’s currently romancing Australian singer Peter Andre.

According to British tabloid, it reported that the two was seen flirting with each other in Monaco during the weekend.

However, Kardashian claims she was in America, and stuck because of travel interference due to volcanic ash cloud in the skies hovering Europe.

The socialite wrote to her Twitter page, “Funny rumor – says I spent a hot night in Monaco w (with) this guy…ummm I wasn’t even in Monaco!”

Meanwhile, Pop star Andre has remained single after splitting from U.K. glamour model Katie Price last year.

Kardashian has been involved with variety of dating rumors since her break up from Reggie Bush in March this year.

Shekhar Kapur, Julia Roberts team up for biopic

Internationally acclaimed Indian filmmaker Shekhar Kapur is reportedly gearing up to direct a biopic of famed English explorer George Mallory to be produced by Hollywood star Julia Roberts and director Kevin Townsend.

Mallory is remembered as having said, "Because it's there" in reply to the question "Why do you want to climb Mt Everest?" He and his climbing partner disappeared in 1924; they were 800 feet from the summit before the clouds closed in.

'Mallory' is being produced by Roberts' Red Om Films and Townsend's Science+Fiction Townsend, reports variety.com.

Set in post-WW1 England, the story chronicles Mallory's attempts to scale Everest and the toll it takes on his marriage as the mountain becomes his obsession.

The script is written by Townsend and the team of Matthew Faulk and Mark Skeet (Vanity Fair).

Kapur's credits include Elizabeth and Elizabeth: The Golden Age.

Mariah Carey may have admitted 'gaining a few pounds' since her marriage to Nick Cannon, but she clearly isn't ashamed of her curvier physique.
Performing at the latest stop on her Angels' Advocate Tour in Los Angeles last night, Carey showed off her figure in all its glory in a figure-hugging gold dress.
The two-piece dress, which started as a billowing ball gown before a section was whipped off to reveal a ruffled mini, appeared slightly too small for her ample curves.

Clearly feeling confident with her figure, Carey showed off her tanned legs in a pair of silver sequinned £775 pair of Christian Louboutin peep-toe heels as she performed with her troupe of hunky dancers at the Gibson Amphitheatre.
Carey descended on the stage sitting in a swing in the huge ballgown, before her dancers whipped off the skirt to reveal the mini underneath.
The dress was a gold variation of an outfit she has worn at previous concerts, which have also been made in white and lilac.

Speaking last summer, she admitted her happy marriage to toyboy husband Nick Cannon, 29, had affected her waistline.

When she first started dating Nick in March 2008, she was slim and toned and weighed around 130lbs thanks to daily workout sessions in her swimming pool.

Writing on her Twitter micro-blogging page last month, Mariah denied reports she was pregnant: 'If I gained a few pounds... My trainer's back living with me.'

Pitt took on the role of house husband as Jolie shot the scenes in a Parisian cafe, and took care of some of the couple's children, Shiloh, three and five-year-old Zahara, who were clearly keen to see their mother in action.

These latest photographs are further evidence that there is no trouble in paradise for the Hollywood pair, following split rumours earlier this year over which they threatened legal action.
