VIJAY 60 BEFORE THERI?

Director Bharathan’s next ambitious outing is actor Vijay’s 60th film. This yet to be titled project referred to as Vijay 60 will feature Keerthy Suresh as the female lead.

Reports also hint that this team might start with the shooting on April 11th and will wrap this short, two-day long, first schedule. The month of May will have them resuming with the shoots in full throttle.

Meanwhile, actor Sriman tweeted to announce his involvement in this project funded by Nagi Reddy’s Vijaya Productions.

Hansika replaced Nayanthara!

OK OK was a comedy caper directed by Rajesh starring Udhaynidhi Stalin, Hansika and Santhanam in lead roles. The film was a huge success which brought the roof down with its hilarious script and acting.

In a recent interview with the chief of Red Giant Movies, It has been reported that before Hansika was signed for the project, it was Nayanthara who was approached  for the female lead role. But the actress neglected it as she wanted a break from films back then. Nayanthara who now found SR Prabhakaran's 'Ithu Kathirvelin Kadhali' story has accepted to do the female lead in the film in which she is paired up with Udhay.

The film is the second one for Udhay as a hero in which he plays the role of an unemployed guy Kathirvelan who falls for Pavithra played by Nayanthara. The film includes Santhanam while Harris has been signed up for scoring the music.

Power Star in 'Singam 2'!!

Power Star Srinivasan has got a huge throng of fan followers in TamilNadu and with the latest release of Santhanam's "Kannada Laddu Thinna Aasaiya", he has been bagging a lot of roles for upcoming films. Not just any films though, mostly big budget productions. The addition to that list of his is Surya's next film "Singam 2".

Yes! Power Star is starring in this sequel of Director Hari  along with Surya, Anushka, Santhanam's, Manorama, Hansika, Radharavi and Vijaykumar. This is indeed a jackpot for the Powerstar after him also getting to appear in Shanker's "I" starring Vikram and Amy Jackson. A clever move by the team of "Singam 2" by casting the two trending comedy artists in Kollywood, both Santhanam and Powerstar. Also, sources say that actress Anjali will be appearing for an item number in this film. Let's wait and see what this very interesting cast has to offer.

Tickets from Jan 30 for 'Kadal'

February is  really expected month of this year. And the major reason for that is because of Mani Ratnam's 'Kadal' and Bejoy Manbiar's 'David' which are scheduled to be released on the 1st of February. Both the films are widely expected among the audience while the audio has already gone viral among the youngsters. And especially with AR Rahman for 'Kadal', the songs have already topped the chart busters.

Newspapers of Jan 28 has advertised about the advance booking for Kadal which is to be open from the 30th of Jan.

On the other hand, the distributors of Kadal are facing hard times for booking theaters as most of them have Vishwaroopam at big screens. Resultantly, 'Kadal' has been offered with smaller screens. Even single screens in Tamil Nadu also do not seem to have confirmed any screens.  'Kadal' will be facing problems unless there are clarifications for 'Vishwaroopam'.

'Killadi' is a film which was directed by A Venkatesh starring Bharath and Nila in the lead roles while Srikanth Deva has composed songs for this film. The film was wrapped up long back and was not released due to certain reasons. The makers of the film have now decided to release the film. But unfortunately no buyers are ready to buy the film. The reason for this is Bharath's current market status.We hear that the producer is now trying his maximum for a commercial release of the film so that it can be shown on the television. He sexually exploited me: Actress Vijayalakshmi

Actress Vijayalakshmi has lodged a complaint on Wednesday against Tamil director Seeman, the chief co-ordinator of Naam Thamizhar Iyakkam (NTI). In her four page complaint Vijayalakshmi has said that she was having a close relationship with Seeman for three years, who is now refusing to marry her.

The actress and the director became close during the filming of 'Vaazhthugal'. Vijayalakshmi has reportedly complained that the filmmaker has sexually exploited her and now he is declining to tie the knot.

"Vijayalakshmi and Seeman have been in relationship for three years. Since he refused to marry her and obviously ditched her, Vijayalakshmi has now approached the police to take legal action against Seeman," said a police officer.

Vijayalakshmi has acted in many movies and also in television mega-serials. She came with her counsels to the commissioner's office and submitted the petition at 2.30 pm.

The petition was immediately forwarded to the T Nagar deputy commissioner of police S Thirunavukarasu for further investigation.

It may be recalled that Vijaya Lakshmi, had attempted to commit suicide in 2006 after she was harassed by an assistant director of a reality show, which was hosted by her.

Later that year, she announced her marriage with a small-time Kannada actor Srujan Lokesh, but their relationship did not last long as they broke up in 2007.

According to the sources, Seeman is planning to get married to a Srilankan Tamil girl and the preparations are going on in full swing.

Earlier, Seeman has raised his voice for the uplift of Tamils in the island nation of Sri Lanka.
