Multi-storeyed car park at Tirumala likely

The TTD Executive Officer I.Y.R. Krishna Rao on Friday instructed the Engineering Department to study the feasibility of constructing a multi-storeyed car parking in the vicinity of the Vaikuntam queue complex for the benefit of the visiting devotees.

Mr. Rao, who inspected several areas at Tirumala felt it mandatory to construct a multi-storeyed car parking complex that can house atleast 2,000 vehicles, besides a massive pilgrim amenities complex in the area with a capacity to accommodate over 10,000 pilgrims.

Mr. Rao, with an aim to provide better amenities for the pilgrims is undertaking periodical inspections to identify areas that need immediate attention .

As part of this exercise he visited the Sapthagiri Choultries and instructed the officials concerned to ensure hygiene in and around the choultries.

The engineering officials were also instructed to provide a leak-proof roof at the Akhanda Hari Nama Sankeertana Mandapam.

Earlier Rao held a meeting with the heads of various departments in the TTD and also reviewed the steps taken regarding the suggestions and complaints from devotees during the Dial TTD EO programme which is organised on first Friday of every month.

Prominent among others who were present include the Tirumala based Special Officer A.V.Dharma Reddy, CVSO P.V.S. Ramakrishna and Superintendent Engineer Ramachandra Reddy.
