'Vishwaroop' has no controversial content, say viewers in Delhi, Mumbai

Kamal Haasan's fans came out smiling after watching the first show of 'Vishwaroop' on Friday, each one insisting that there was nothing controversial in the film. "Not anti-Muslim or anti-India in any manner, the movie is so good and so super," said a young movie-goer. Another said, "Kamal Haasan's performance is superb, fantastic and natural. The movie is going to win national awards. It is going to rock the Indian cinema." PVR cinema sources told CNN-IBN that they expected 70 per cent bookings over the weekend. In Uttar Pradesh too, film theatres screened the movie despite warning from the Samajwadi Party. Moviegoers in Lucknow said that the controversy was a political game against Haasan. In Mumbai, people said that there was nothing controversial in the film. "When you watch the film, you will realise it's not about Muslims," said a youth. However, in suburban Mumbai, a theatre cancelled shows after request from local residents. Meanwhile, a compromise on the release of 'Vishwaroopam' in Tamil Nadu seems to be in the offing after the state Home Secretary on Friday met Haasan's brother Chandra Haasan and representatives of the protesting Muslim groups to hammer out the differences. The actor himself is scheduled to meet the Muslim leaders at 6.00 pm on Friday. Viswaroopam, Viswaroopam telugu cinema,Viswaroopam cinema news
