Yama Leela 2 Telugu Film Review

Krish (KV Satish) is on a mission to find cure for leukemia. A pharmaceutical company owner (Ashish Vidhyardhi) tries to steal the formula from Krish. He even plans to kill Krish to stop him from finding the cure. Meanwhile Krish gets to know about his future through Bhavishya Vaani, a book that decides the fate of every human being. Krish hides the book from Yama to save himself until he is successful with his mission. Now Yama and Chitragupta (Mohanbabu and Brahmanandam) are after him to find Bhavishya Vaani. Artist : Performances: KV Satish is a bit wooden in few scenes. He needs to work on his expressions and diction. Diya is a pretty face, but could hardly emote. Mohan Babu is very good in the role of Yama. His powerful screen presence and superb dialogue delivery stands out. Brahmanandam tries his best on the comedy front. Kota Srinivasa Rao is alright. Tagubothu Ramesh comedy didn't click. Sayaji Shinde and the Gabbar Singh gang managed to entertain during the climax. Nisha Kothari did a cameo. On the Technical Front: SV Krishna Reddy's script let him down. Story and Screenplay of Yamaleela 2 are pretty poor and nobody can do anything better than this with such script on hands. However, Krishna Reddy has to blame himself for this as he wrote the story and screenplay. He showed glimpses of his past glory in the musical department though. Dialogues are ordinary. Cinematography is decent. Editing is better in second half compared to the first half. Producer spent a bomb on this film. Yamaleela 2 is shot in various picturesque locations. Visuals are one of the best things about this film. Analysis: People expect Yamaleela 2 to be as good as its predecessor. But unfortunately it isn't half good as the original. Krishna Reddy was at his best when he made Yamaleela and this sequel is clear indication of his poor form. He couldn't get anything right about the script. Despite having all the commercial elements in the movie, nothing appeals or stands out. Even Mohan Babu's dynamic screen presence couldn't help this film. Krishna Reddy made conscious efforts to please the audience with comedy. All the scenes are poorly written that they failed to get the expected result. Sentiment scenes too didn't work out due to flat narration. Characters aren't developed enough to sympathize with them. If you are expecting something close to Yamaleela, this will let down big time on every front. This film is made on high budget compared to the original and that is not going to be a plus point for it at the box office. Yamaleela 2 is low on entertainment and the narration is stuck in eighties. It will have to rely on the brand value of the original and certainly needs some Godly 'Leela' to stay afloat and swim across to a safe zone. -

Power Star Pawan Kalyan Not Denying Rumours!

For the last few days, the Telugu film industry has been agog with rumours about power star Pawan Kalyan and the gossip mongers have been having a field day.

The talk is not about his alleged rift with his brother Chiranjeevi again and not with regard to the success story of “Gabbar Singh” or the hype surrounding his forthcoming film “Camerman Ganga Tho Rambabu.” It is about his growing intimacy with foreign actress Danah, who had acted with him in Teen Maar. The rumours are that Pawan has been closely moving with this girl, which has caused rift with his wife Renu Desai.

Though sources close to Pawan have been rubbishing these rumours, the surprising aspect of the whole story is that Pawan himself has not condemned these reports. His fans expect that Pawan should hold a press conference and refute the rumours by putting the record straight.

Since it has not happened, the rumour mongers continue to spread the theory that there is something really going on in his family. Hope we listen to Pawan soon to clarify on this.

Nagarjuna's Shiridi Censor Report

Nagarjuna's Shiridi sai has completed its censor today and the movie has got clean U certificate. The movie will be hitting screens on September 6th.

The movie songs were released last month and already in chartbusters. Keeravani composed songs for the film. In past, Nagarjuna, KRR and Keeravani combo delivered big devotional hits like Annamayya and sri ramadasu.

Dil Raju acquired the nizam rights of this film. Many sai baba devotees are keen on the success of the film.

DSP Gave Charmee Another Break?

The most eligible bachelor in the Tollywood circuit is music director Devi Sri Prasad and while many are wondering why he has not found a girl for himself, he had already made headlines for his alleged affair with actress Charmee. Now, another grapevine has begun to make rounds.

It is heard that for the film ‘Damarukam’, an item song was prepared featuring Lakshmi Rai along with Nagarjuna. But once the rehearsals began with choreographers, it is heard that Devi Sri Prasad who is composing the music felt that Charmee was the best bet for such a number as she can raise the heat.

In no time, Charmee was in and she is now getting a break by pairing up with Nag for the spicy song. It is heard that Lakshmi Rai was aware of the plans. Whether it is DSP’s recommendation or Charmee’s oomph factor, let us hope this brings her career back on track. The leading lady for the film is Anushka.

There is a common talk among many Telugu people that America has become the second Andhra Pradesh for them. Apparently, most of the happening cities in the US are filled with Telugus and many have emerged successful in their lives through talent and set a new benchmark for achievement.

Young Hero Ram Charan Didn't Learn 'D' From Father

Balakrishna said, "Recently a young Telugu hero said that there is lack of talent in Telugu film industry which is unfortunate. I directly warned him asking him to shut his mouth. He should not speak without knowing the history of Telugu cinema".

Indeed, it is clear indication that he implied Ram Charan who spoke in 7th Sense audio release praising Tamil circuit and putting down the Telugu directors' talent.

On the other hand, Ram Charan is coming into news for wrong reason. Recently, he also attacked Dasari Narayana Rao. When Dasari said that Telugu heroines are not attending award functions, Ram Charan tweeted in support of heroines stating, "So called great directors are now confined to only speeches and lectures on stages. It is sad that they can't move anything but their mouth."

Many have condemned this as Ram Charan is too young to use such expression on Dasari.

Director : Balayya wants 'Animal' fitting
