Politician turned actress, Roja has once again showed her cine-touch by using popular film dialogues for YS Jagan. While speaking at a public event as part of a 'Rytu Baata' started by YSR-Congress in Anantapur, she uttered these dialogues.
'If opposition parties think that Jagan is thin and he cannot do anything, then they are wrong. Even an electric wire is also thin but you will know its power only after touching it', said Roja. This reminds of the popular emotional and stunning dialogue said by Jr.NTR in his film 'Oosaravelli'. Reports have that audience who attended Roja's meet went gaga over her filmy dialogues for Jagan. Roja also said, 'Parties should do politics only during elections time and later they should focus on development. But Congress is busy only with politics all the time'. She stressed that Congress is delaying the development of constituencies where YSR-C has won.
Looks like, this is the first step by YSR-Congress to show other parties that they are ready once again in the case of Local Body polls. We have to see how Congress will counter them.

Jagan Tops List Of Poll-Code Violators
YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy tops the list of violators of electoral guidelines. He has so far received 39 notices from the Election Commission, the highest among the candidates in the fray for by-elections in Kadapa district.
A majority of these notices pertain to publication of “paid news”, mostly in “Sakshi” owned by the former Kadapa MP. The other notices are with regard to violations of the election code.
In addition, three more notices were issued to him because some independent candidates in Kadapa Lok Sabha constituency were found to be campaigning for him, State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Bhanwarlal said.
Jagan has replied only to seven notices from the Election Commission. His reply was waited in the case of 33 other notices, the CEO said.
Jagan’s mother Vijayamma, seeking re-election from Pulivendula, was issued 7 notices followed by TDP’s Mysoora Reddy 4, D L Ravindra Reddy 3 and Y S Vivekananda Reddy 2, the election officer said.
In the run-up to the high-stake by-elections, the authorities have so far recovered Rs 2.22 crore in cash from several vehicles. The cash was apparently meant for distribution among voters. Over 10,000 bind-over cases have been registered in the faction-ridden district.

Only Mistake Satya Sai Baba Did
The inevitable has happened. The Godman for millions and an inspiration for many service minded people Puttaparthi Satya Sai Baba’s soul has departed from his body. While this has left millions in shock and upset, there are few rationalists who are now pointing out one mistake that Satya Sai Baba did.
One of the noted person on condition of anonymity revealed “Apparently in 1974, Satya Sai Baba declared that he is going to live for 96 years. If he had not said that his divinity would not have been in question and no black mark would have come to his glory. Even if he said 86 years it would have been better.”
He added “While it is a mystery to many about this ambiguity, this little error from Baba is giving a feast time to the atheists. This is giving them fuel to disprove the divinity of Baba. Well, the devotees may say that he is equal to god but trying to clarify this small mistake might bring in some skirmishes.” Only time will answer this question…if there is any….

'Bezawada Police' Vs 'Kamma-Reddy Students'
A new wave has begun in the city of Vijayawada which is known not only for its passion of cinema but also for the severe caste politics. Unfortunately, this poisonous culture is being spread in the student community by few vicious ring leaders and it is reaching an alarming situation. They are heading the gangs named 'C', 'R' and 'K' means Choudary, Reddy and Kapu. They are also stickering those letters on the bikes with the pictures of NTR, YSR and Chiranjeevi. So now, the Bezawada police have decided to wield its lathi.
The man behind this is the commissioner Seetaramanjaneyulu. He has passed a decree that going triples on bikes, having stickers to their number plates notifying their gang identities will dealt with severely. To start with, heavy fines are being collected and even the parents of the students will be taken to task on discipline.
If students still continue their stunts, then they would be ‘counseled’ in the appropriate way. Sources say that the focus is more on Kamma and Reddy students since they seem to be quite active in the caste gangs and settlement politics. Though the cops are sure that their ‘Counseling’ will go on for a long time, only time will tell who will have the last laugh on this.

Y.S.Jagan Looks Glamorous With Spectacles
After taking rest for three days on account of his eye-infection and joint pains, Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy hit the road again with his Odarpu Yatra in Prakasam district on Sunday.
And the people observed a refreshing change in the young leader. He was looking more glamorous and attractive than he was earlier; and the reason was: he is wearing spectacles on the advice of doctors, so that the pollen from flowers would not cause allergy in his eyes. In one angle, he looked exactly like his father; though he did not wear khaddar dress. In any way, his voice has all the mannerisms of his father.
Some journalist commented that Jagan was looking like Rana in the Sekhar Kammula film “Leader,” though the little beard Rana had in the film is missing in Jagan. If he sports that little beard (no, not like Rahul Gandhi), Jagan would look more glamorous, the journo commented.

AP State Congress cry foul over Babu’s Babli trip
Either by design or coincidence, almost the entire Congress leadership chose Wednesday to cry foul over the ‘inspection trip’ to the site of the controversial Babli Irrigation Project in Maharashtra by former chief minister and Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu and his team.
While Chief Minister K Rosaiah spoke against the trip at the state secretariat, his fellow Congress stalwarts chose separate locations to voice their disapproval of the entire five-day episode in which Mr Naidu and his team were arrested and then ‘deported’ to Hyderabad.
Talking to media persons separately, senior Congress leaders Ponguleti Sudhakar, Bhatti Vikramarka, Palludagu Venkat Rao and Tulsi Reddy said that Mr Naidu’s visit, deportation and Wednesday morning’s protest in front of the Gandhi statue in Assembly premises was a drama.
They virtually scoffed at the TDP chief’s protest over the Babli issue by saying that it was like the pot calling the kettle black. They sought to turn the tables on Mr Naidu by saying that it was he who was negligent on the Babli project since he was at the helm of administration in the state at the time the Maharashtra government began construction across the river Godavari.
The senior Congress leaders also decried Mr Naidu’s ‘attempts to gain sympathy’ by claiming that women legislators were manhandled by the Maharashtra police while being forced onto the special aircraft ferrying them to Hyderabad.
They reminded Mr Naidu that his administration had used mounted police against women protestors and also reminded him that his talk to ‘Telugu self-respect’ was meaningless by alleging that he had held ‘Telugu Legislators’ hostage in Hotel Viceroy during the rebellion against then chief minister and TDP founder NT Rama Rao.

TD leader Babu is bundled out,gets hero’s welcome
Dharmabad (Nanded district)/Hyderabad, July 20: In a dramatic development, the Maharashtra government dropped all cases against the Telugu Desam president, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, and 65 party MLAs before they reached Aurangabad jail and forced them to board a special flight to Hyderabad on Tuesday night.
The TD leaders, tired but triumphant, reached Shamshabad Airport at Hyderabad around 10 pm to a tumultuous welcome by hundreds of jubilant yellow flag waving party activists and leaders.
Mr Naidu’s wife, Mrs Bhuvaneshwari, and his son, Mr Lokesh, were at the airport along with family members of other MLAs to welcome them.
The TD estimates that the political stock of Mr Naidu had shot up dramatically after his trip to the Babli project site, the arrest and the confinement.
Maharashtra took the decision to fly back the TD leaders after hectic parleys with the Centre and the AP government.
Mr Naidu and 70-odd MLAs were arrested on July 16 on the AP-Maharashtra border village of Bidrelli.

Babli yatra hits TD campaign in bypolls
The Babli yatra by the Telugu Desam Party affected its election campaign in Sirpur (T), Mancherial and Chennur assembly constituencies Adilabad district which are going for by-elections.
Most of the top and popular leaders from Telangana region like T Devender Goud, Nama Nageshwarrao and Ramesh Rathod, who campaigned before the launch of yatra were held up in Maharashtra as part of Babli yatra. The TDP contesting candidates have become handicapped with the absent of top leaders in the campaign. For the last two days the top leaders of Telugu Desam held up in Dharmabad of Maharashtra and it is not clear when they returned to state and take part in the election campaign.
Contesting candidates of TDP are in tizzy as their ‘star campaigners’ were absent at meetings and the latter forced to campaign without senior leaders. Devender Goud was given responsibility coordination for by-elections in the Telangana region as he was senior leader from the region and belonging to Backward Community.
The absence of top leaders reduced the enthusiasm among the local cadre of Telugu Desam those taking part in the campaign as voting date is coming nearer. According to reliable sources, TDP cadre and second rung leaders are planning to welcome their leaders those participating in the Babli yatra for campaigning in the by-election after returning to district from Babli yatra.

UK panel:Hyderabad airport best in India
The Rajiv Gandhi Airport in Hyderabad is the best airport in India, according to Britain-based consultancy Skytrax, which judges the quality of air travel around the world.
At a ceremony in Brussels on Tuesday, the Hyderabad airport was given the Best Airport India award.
Singapore's Changi airport was named the world's best airport.
It was also called "Airport of the Year 2010", the best airport in Asia and also the best for leisure amenities.
Skytrax awards serve as the quality benchmark for the world airport industry.
The awards represent opinions of more than 8.6 million passengers from over 95 nationalities around the world who took part in a 10-month survey of 196 airports.
The awards are given after assessing more than 35 elements of the airport experience.
Seoul's Incheon International Airport was ranked the world's second best. It won awards as the best international transit airport and also for having the best staff service among all airports in Asia.
Kuala Lumpur was ranked fifth in the world. It was named the best airport for immigration service.
Beijing's Capital International Airport moved into the world's top 10 for the first time and received the best airport security processing title.
Munich Airport took the title as Europe's best airport and moved to the fourth position in the global airport rankings.

PRP on the defensive over Vaishnavi killer
Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi had to face embarrassing situation on Tuesday when he came to know that Venkat Rao, one of the accused in sensational Vaishnavi murder case in Vijayawada, was a prominent PRP leader.
Party leaders in Vijayawada brought to Chiranjeevi’s notice that Venkat Rao tried for the PRP ticket in Vijayawada in the last assembly elections, but could not get it due to caste equations. Recently, Chiranjeevi approved his name for the post of Vijaywada Urban Committtee of the PRP.
When media persons questioned him about this, Chiranjeevi had to go on the defensive. “If Venkat Rao is found guilty in the Vaishnavi murder case, we will not spare him. Such killers would have no place in the party. He should be given the stringent punishment,” he said. The PRP leaders in Krishna district said Venkat Rao had not been very active in the party activities in the recent times. “He will be expelled from the primary membership of the party,” they said.

TV editors arrested for botched report
CID sleuths have arrested TV5 executive editor Brahmananda Reddy and input editor Venkata Krishna, over the telecast of a report linking the Ambani brothers with the death of the former chief minister, Dr Y.S Rajasekhar Reddy.
The additional director general CB CID, Mr Shivnarayan, said Brahmananda Reddy and Venkata Krishna were arrested and will be remanded to custody on Saturday.
The state government has sent a strong message to the media by booking cases against three channels — TV5, which first telecast the report, Sakshi, owned by YSR’s son and Kadapa MP, Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, and NTV.
It is expected that people in key positions in two other channels would also be questioned.
The director general of police, Mr R.R. Girish Kumar, said the channels had telecast a story of doubtful veracity without verifying the credentials of the information.
This led to tension, public disorder and law and order problem in some districts, he said.
Journalists’ organisations and ministers condemned the telecast of the story. The panchayat raj minister, Mr Botsa Satyanarayana, also sought action against the channels.

The Congress high command has served a show cause notice on the IT minister, Mr Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, for criticising the Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, and bringing disrepute to the party.
The AICC general secretary, Mr Janardhan Dwivedi, issued the notice and gave the minister a week’s time to reply.
Two MPs, one from Telangana region and one from elsewhere in AP, were also to be issued similar notices for violating party discipline and approaching the media, it was learnt late Friday night.
Mr Venkat Reddy had sharply criticised Mr Rosaiah before the media on Thursday and had accused him of acting like the Chief Minister of Andhra region.
Mr Venkat reddy has also angered the high command by refusing to withdraw his resignation unlike other ministers.
He also said that the Chief Minister’s comment on industries moving away from the state because of protests showed his bias against Telangana.
Other ministers too had objected to his remarks against the Chief Minister.

Tiwari episode a plot: Jaiswal
The Union minister, Mr Sri Prakash Jaiswal, said on Tuesday that the sex scandal charges levelled against the former Andhra Pradesh Governor, Mr N.D. Tiwari, were a conspiracy to defame him.
Speaking on the sidelines of a party function, he said that an inquiry would expose those behind the conspiracy and bring out the truth.
Earlier, Mr Jaiswal targeted regional parties, saying their sole interest was personal financial gains, leading to corruption.

“I am innocent and have been framed in this conspiracy. But I will fight back — legally and politically — to clear my name,” he told reporters after his arrival in Dehradun where he will be staying for the next few days. He also made it clear that he would continue to remain in active politics, a clear rebuff to those who had thought that the veteran leader would call it quits after the disgrace over the alleged scandal.
Though Mr Tiwari refused to elaborate on his plans at the moment, one of his close aides said the former Governor was aware of the identity of the possible conspirators.
“We are aware of who these persons are and it is a matter of time before they get exposed. Mr Tiwari will fight back the charges in a court of law as well as politically to clear his name. The curtain is certainly not down on this drama,” the aide said.
The aide said that the veracity of the so-called sex tapes was highly questionable and with the VFX technique easily available, such tapes could easily be made.
“Scandals about Mr Tiwari are being thrown out only after he took over as AP Governor. First, it was the paternity suit and now this. Surely, there is someone who wanted him out of the Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad,” the aide added. If sources are to be believed, the recent sex scandal has not demoralised the 86-year-old leader.
In fact, it has made him all the more determined to bounce back in politics.
“He resigned because he did not wish to embarrass the Congress leadership. He did not get time to clarify his position or get the tapes examined. But now that he is out of the post, he will hit back with renewed force,” the aide said.
Mr Tiwari is likely to return to Delhi in a few days to consult his lawyers against the channel that aired the alleged sex tapes. He will also seek an audience with the Congress high command with a request that he may be given a chance to clear his name.

T-stir pushing investors away: CM
The Chief Minister, Mr K. Rosaiah, on Tuesday presented a gloomy picture of the industrial sector in the state.
He said that several companies were shifting proposed projects to other states or deferring investments because of Telangana troubles.
Mr Rosaiah made these observations after the representatives of the Confederation of Indian Industry, the Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry, besides captains of top pharma and IT companies met him to express concern at the state of affairs.
According to the CM, Bharat Forge Limited dropped investment proposals in the state and decided to shift to Gujarat. Peugeot, Kaparo, Lakshmi Mittal, Brandix, J.P. Morgan and Stanley, United Health Group and leading pharma ESAI have all deferred investments.
“The image of Hyderabad as an investment destination has taken a beating because of the violence,” he said.
Bulk drug industry alone suffered loss of Rs 500 crore in the past 20 days and the hotel industry suffered losses with reservations dropping by 40 per cent, he said.
Meanwhile, the CM is making a last-minute effort to retain the two-day CII summit which was scheduled to be held on January 21 at Hyderabad but is now being shifted to Chennai.
The Union commerce minister, Mr Anand Sharma, categorically told Mr Rosaiah that the event would be held in the city only if the Union home ministry concurred.
The PM, Dr Manmohan Singh, is scheduled to inaugurate the summit.

Congress Member of Parliament Lagadapati Rajagopal got discharged from NIMS here on Tuesday afternoon and said he had decided to get himself admitted to the hospital 24 hours ago as a challenge to the government after giving the police the slip at Vijayawada.
He told a crowded press conference immediately after leaving the hospital that he gained access to NIMS to prove a point to the government that it could not stop anyone, more so an MP like him, from travelling across the State’s regions.
He did so after Chief Minister K. Rosaiah’s refusal to shift him to NIMS even after the Superintendent of the Government Hospital at Vijayawada expressed helplessness to provide him medical aid when his sodium and potassium levels dropped due to fasting on Sunday evening. When he was put on saline in that condition, he considered his fast to have been broken.

Dodging the police since then, Mr. Rajagopal said he took 15 hours to travel from Vijayawada to Hyderabad with another objective to expose the IV fluid-driven fast of TRS president K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Mr. Rao was on fast in the true sense of the term for only one-and-a-half days and spent the rest of the five days in hospital with the aid of intravenous fluids.
The MP recalled that he had in vain requested the Chief Minister to allow him to take up a fast for 48 hours as the one by Mr. Rao at NIMS.
He wanted to show to the outside world how leaders could blackmail governments with ‘modern day’ fasts which were a sham.
Taking exception to the Centres’ announcement to initiate the process of formation of Telangana in the wake of the TRS chief’s fast, Mr. Rajagopal appealed to governments not to frame policies under pressure from leaders.
He said he expected the Centre to spell out a fresh proposal acceptable to people of all the regions or else he would launch another fast, this time at Visakhapatnam.
He would not support the Centre’s stand if it went against united State asit would not reflect the desire of people in all the 23 districts.

Fasting is secret of Lagadapati’s energy
Showing unbelievable stamina for a 45-year-old who has “fasted” for seven days, the Vijayawada Congress MP, Mr Lagadapati Rajagopal, suddenly turned up at the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences here in an autorickshaw after an overnight journey from Vijayawada, dashed into the hospital, ran along the corridors into the Acute Medical Care unit and grabbed a bed — with television cameras in tow.
Within seconds, the MP was lying on the bed, appearing exhausted and lost to the world. A team of doctors and nurses immediately surrounded him, almost as if they were waiting for the “guest”.
According to reports, the MP, who escaped from a Vijayawada hospital late on Sunday night, travelled by his car till Khammam, took an RTC bus to Hyderabad and took the autorickshaw to reach Nims. This could not be verified, and it is suspected that he travelled in an outdoor broadcasting van of a television channel.
All this hectic activity from a man whose fast entered its seventh day on Monday left many amazed. Mr Rajagopal instead looked more energetic than before.
The principal secretary, health, Mr J. Satyanarayana, said, “Mr Rajagopal is fine and doing well.” Some senior doctors expressed doubts over Mr Rajagopal’s incredible physical condition. He was later shifted to room No. 228 in Millennium block.
Asked if Mr Rajagopal’s feat was possible, Dr P. Praveen, general surgeon of Gandhi Hospital, told this newspaper, “It is highly impossible for a man who is fasting for a week to run like this. It was reported that his sugar levels were rising which is uncommon for a patient who is fasting.”
“If a person is fasting, the ketone levels will rise. Loss of sodium and potassium will lead to muscle cramps which will make it difficult to even move,” the doctor said. “Even if saline is given it would help in maintaining basic metabolism and will not give any calories.”
Doctors at the Vijayawada Government Hospital said Mr Rajagopal was on saline for two days forcibly, and differed with the opinion on his agility.
The Vijayawada hospitals superintendent, Dr P. Rambabu said, “Mr Rajagopal is diabetic. We had suggested that he be shifted to a hospital with facilities for cardiac monitoring as we suspecting irregular heart beat.” Dr Rambabu said, “He was put on dextrose intravenous. He didn’t take any liquid or solid food. It is possible for a man who is on saline to have the physical activity. Even the yoga trainer regularly visited Mr Rajagopal and he did yoga including pranamayam.” The doctor, however, added: “His physical fitness is amazing.”
The MP’s followers said that as a sportsman and chief of the AP Olympic Association, Mr Rajagopal was very fit and in no way could be compared with the TRS chief, Mr K. Chandrasekhar Rao.
Mr Rajagopal began his fast unto death at Vijayawada on December 16, after he was arrested twice in Hyderabad and sent back.

Lagadapati Rajagopal MISSING!!! Is He Kidnapped?!
Lagadapati Rajagopal who is doing his fasting unto death at Vijayawada is now missing in cine-phakki. A Qualis Car with number AP 16 AH 6789 has crashed the gate where he is doing deeksha and carried Lagadapati Rajagopal away. People around him say that it’s a police kidnap, and some others say that he is moving towards Vizag to continue his deeksha. But meanwhile there are rumors that police traced him at Gannavaram but yet to be confirmed. Rajagopal has been demanding to shift him to NIMS, Hyderabad but the attempts were made by police to shift him to NRI Hospital in Magalagiri, Guntur District. However, this confused drama is yet to be unleashed with actual facts. But as of now Lagadapati Rajagopal is MISSING!!!!!

Cops lost temper, admits IG
Eight students and nine policemen were injured when both groups began pelting stones at each other in the Sri Krishnadevaraya University in Anantapur on Tuesday.
The inspector-general of police, Ms A.R. Anuradha, admitted that the “police personnel at Anantapur lost their temper and their action of hurling back the stones at the students was unjustified.”
Explaining the sequence of events, Ms Anuradha said some students of the SK University went to Akuthotapally village, about three kilometres from the campus, to make an issue over the death of a person.
“One Rajendra Prasad of the village had died a natural death. His death has no connection with the agitation. But students made an attempt to bring the body into the university and to link the death to the agitation and create tensions.
The local police thwarted their attempt by arresting one Mr Balaswamy and three others. Following their arrest, a large number of students staged a road blockade and resorted to violence,” Ms Anuradha said.
The police resorted to heavy caning. The students pelted stones on the police who then reciprocated.
Ms Anuradha said that the mood of the students had been very violent for the past three or four days as was obvious from the TV visuals.
“If they had come into Anantapur town with the body, it would have created more problems. So there was no option but for the police to control the violence,” she said.
But she admitted that “the police should also maintain restraint.” Replying to a query she said no case has been registered against the policemen who hurled the stones.
In 251 places in Andhra and Rayalseema, the United Andhra agitators are continuing a relay fast, but so far they are not creating a law and order problem, Ms Anuradha said.
In several other parts of the state, agitators organised “rail rokos.” They stopped the Sabari Express at Yerrguntla, Chitoor, and resorted to road blockades at 98 places.
A room of the Bar Association was partly set on fire in the Kadapa district sessions court. Agitators also damaged the Coastal Bank in Bhimavaram, the agricultural office in Vemula, and buses in Vijayawada and Sattenpalli in Guntur district.
Meanwhile, the prisoners in the Nandayal sub-jail in Kurnool too have joined the United Andhra agitation by going on a hunger strike on Tuesday.
“The situation is still volatile in Anantapur. We hope it will soon be back to normal,” Ms Anuradha said.
When asked about the Kadapa MP, Mr Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, joining the chorus for United Andhra she said, “We don’t see any aggravation of the agitation with Mr Jagan’s entry.”
