A lot is being spoken about Sherlyn Chopra and her uninhibited attitude. She spoke about sleeping for money, she spoke about loving to be naked and what not. And this has obviously got her the criticism from many for her somewhat shameless acts of publicity. But behold that, there lies a truth that it is not just Sherlyn, there are many like that amidst us.

The craving for publicity and the urge to feature in Page 3 section is a desire for many social celebrities. It ranges right from a politician to a beautician and all want to be ‘seen and known’.

While most of them don’t succeed, Sherlyn succeeds and in a proper way. After all, it is not a joke to feature as a centre cover girl for Playboy magazine but she has done it.

Everyone in the creamy layer tries to market himself/herself but Sherlyn is doing it better, that’s the only difference.

Of course she has chosen a path of boldness and flaunting her body but still she is in the limelight and that’s what matters.

Given a chance, anyone would try to be in limelight and would not hesitate to cross the line so don’t hate Sherlyn because all have an element of her inside us.

Top Bollywood Heroine refuses to return to sets

The shooting of Ileana's Bollywood debut film 'Barfee' is getting delayed. This film which also stars young heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor and sensuous beauty Priyanka Chopra is facing date problems.

Actually, Priyanka Chopra has to return to the sets by the end of October. But, due to her prior commitments she couldn't adjust her dates now. The actress has informed the makers that she would only be able to allot fresh dates for the film in January 2012. All these developments have been causing severe inconvenience to her co-stars and the film unit. Ranbir Kapoor is using this unexpected break, by keeping himself busy with the promotions of his upcoming film 'Rockstar'. On the other hand, Ileana left to her come to spend some quality time with family.

Already the film unit has completed the shooting of a schedule in July without Priyanka. Now, the remaining scenes are combination ones, which require all the three lead actors to be available. Director Anurag Basu's plans to convince Priyanka didn't turn fruitful as she refused to return to the sets of 'Barfee' before January. Let's hope 'Barfee' releases soon and gives a much required boost to Ileana's career!!!

Old Buddies Deepika, Ranbir together again!

The reports of Deepika Padukone accusing once-upon-a-time boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor of cheating on her are so passé.

And though the duo have definitely moved separate ways, there's no bad blood between them. Deepika and Ranbir share a rather cordial relationship. In fact, the leggy beauty — who is now linked to Sidhartha Mallya — had absolutely no issues picking up the phone to wish Ranbir on his birthday.

Karan Johar Says Bebo in chaddis!

When Kareena Kapoor returns from the schedule of Agent Vinod in Latvia around mid September, she has a lot of cleaning up to do. Her best friend, filmmaker Karan Johar, who loves Bebo to distraction, has ordered her to empty her wardrobe.

Karan jokes, “I have asked her to throw out all her old clothes and fill her wardrobe with chaddis (he means shorts) and other skimpy outfits. She has to sport a short haircut and I also want her to try and get herself into a size minus (not a size zero) because she has to match Imran Khan perfectly for my film tentatively titled Short Term Shaadi.”

Post Diwali, Bebo may actually think of making a trip to Paris and London accompanied by designer Manish Malhotra to get herself a totally new wardrobe that will consist of LBDs, chaddis and other equally seductive clothes.

Bebo says that she is also going to consider a personal wardrobe change because that way she will be “living the part 24/7”. One last heard that beau Saif Ali Khan was contemplating hiring a couple of bodyguards for his girl.

Kajol: Who needs a son?

Come September, when Kajol is due, you wonder if she secretly wishes for a son or a daughter.

That she is as excited to have a daughter, as she is to have a son, is a pleasant surprise. Kajol says, “I’m just hoping for a healthy happy baby and a healthy happy momma to look after the baby. I’ve a wonderful daughter. How can I say no to another girl just like her? I don’t believe I need a son to complete my family. My sister Tanissha and I made a complete family.”

Kajol strongly believes that women should have babies when they are ready to take care of them. Kajol admits she took time to have a second baby only so she could give herself fully to mothering him/her.

Meanwhile, this time off from films may be a dampener for Kajol’s fans. “I enjoy doing just one or two films a year,” she says, “If I do too many films people would get bored of me.”

Though her fans would disagree with that, they should not lose hope because Kajol is willing to do another film with hubby Ajay when the opportunity comes her way. But she clarifies that Ajay and she would not do a conventional film for sure. “We can’t be running around in a sarson ka khet together. I had my fill in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge.” The owner of Maratha Mandir begs to differ, Kajol.

Talking of new beginnings, this was the first time Kajol worked with Kareena Kapoor. Glad to be working with an actress her age, Kajol was all praise for Bebo’s sense of humour. “Kareena is an absolute delight to work with and she has a sense of humour. If you’re working for 150 days with someone humourless it can get really tedious.”

And if you have a problem with that, well then it’s for you to solve. Says Kajol, “I’ve worked with dreadfully dull actors but I don’t get affected by my environment.”

The actress is choosy. But you wonder why she seldom says no to friends like Karan Johar. Disagreeing, Kajol clarifies, “I’ve said no to Karan for Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. I don’t think I can give my best in an environment where I am not comfortable. Yes, there have been films where I’ve felt, ‘Oh my God what am I doing here?’ But I don’t regret them.” Optimism and happy thoughts... just what a to-be mother needs.

When Sonam ’s pants slipped down!

Sonam Kapoor might be applauded for her classy style, but she just diverted a wardrobe malfunction!

The actress, who is going around the city to promote her forthcoming film ‘Aisha’ was left embarrassed when during a press event, her pants kept on slipping off. What’s more is that the young diva had to literally pin-up her pants to hold them at her waist.

Confirming the news, a source said, “After the press conference, when Sonam started to interact with the media, her pants kept slipping off, and she was quite pre-occupied with her slipper pantaloons.”

What’s more is that Sonam didn’t even have the time to run to a restroom to fix her slipping pants. The actress decided to pin up her pants in front of the crowd. “She kept pulling them up again and again, but finally had to resort to pinning her trousers. The crowd was in splits,” adds the source.

Well, considering Sonam is known more for her fashion sense than her acting, it’s only fair that the actress gets her style right.

Maryada Ramanna Vs Komaram Puli

The year 2010 has wrapped up its first half and the second half has begun. So far, the box office has been somewhat shaky but the expectations are high on the second half given the films that are in the pipeline. Now, two movies are making a lot of noise and they are ‘Maryada Ramanna’ and ‘Komaram Puli’. So, here is a look at both films and what are their pros and cons. Positives: ‘Maryada Ramanna’ has got high expectations since it is coming from the camp of the tough taskmaster S S Rajamouli who holds a record for bringing in only super hits. Similarly, ‘Komaram Puli’ has been high on expectations since it has power star Pawan Kalyan and it has been made lavishly. Comedian Sunil has already scored a hit as a hero with his ‘Andaala Ramudu’ so his presence as a hero for ‘Maryada Ramanna’ is causing interest. As it is, the title for both films has raised a lot of curiosity among the audience. Pawan Kalyan and director S J Suryah teamed up many years ago and came up with the super hit movie ‘Khushi’ so their combo looks promising for ‘Komaram Puli’. The heroines Saloni (Maryada Ramanna), Nikeesha Patel (Komaram Puli) have got high sex appeal and they would be a treat for the mass audience. The music department has got the names of biggies- Keeravani for ‘Maryada Ramanna’ and Oscar winner A R Rahman for ‘Komaram Puli’. The films are releasing at a time when there are no threats in the form of other biggies so the chances of having good openings and steady collections are strong. Negatives: The Tollywood audience likes to see Sunil as that innocent and naïve kind of person which exudes a lot of laughter but if his role is anything different here, then the scoring will go down. As for ‘Komaram Puli’, the film has been in the making since a very long time and usually films that take a long time tend to lose their flavor. The audio of both films has got mediocre response despite the presence of famous names as music directors. ‘Maryada Ramanna’ has got Rayalaseema backdrop and if it has to do with faction then it may not appeal so much since the audience has seen a lot of that lately. ‘Komaram Puli’ shows Pawan Kalyan as a cop but then his outfits and looks have been quite jazzy, so if the realism context is missing then the viewers will give thumbs down. The expectation levels of the audience is higher than normal for both films so they must be able to match up to that which is a challenge. Maryada Ramanna’ Block-Black-Bleak

The time has come to find out whether all that hype and hoopla that has been created for this film will stand or not. We are talking about the film ‘Maryada Ramanna’ and for starters, everything seems to be going the right way for the makers and the film’s hero Sunil as well. Reports have arrived from across all parts of the city and few key business centers that all tickets are blocked. Even the multiplexes and stand alone theaters have declared that their shows are houseful. So now, the only option is black and many say that the scope of getting even that is bleak. With this, it is looking clear that ‘Maryada Ramanna’ will have a tremendous opening collection and if the film does have that material in it, then there is no doubt that this monsoon will have its first bumper hit, yet again from the tough taskmaster S S Rajamouli.
