Filmmaker Karan Johar says actor Salman Khan makes him nervous, but he doesn't know why! Johar made the revelation during a chat with a private FM radio host. When the host asked the filmmaker who is the one actor in front of whom he cannot gather courage to open his mouth, Johar said: "Salman Khan! When he came on my show Lift Kara De, I was sitting in my black suit. He was very animated, it was a very serious show. Salman said, 'I am not going to sit here, I want to sit on the floor and you will also have to sit on the floor?. "I am very scared of Salman for some reason, I don?t know why, though he has been very wonderful to me, he is close to my family from a very long time, but I get nervous in front of him." Johar worked with Salman in his 1998 directorial debut Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The movie also featured Shah Rukh Khan. Johar, who recently launched three newcomers - Siddharth Malhotra, Varun Dhawan and Ali Bhatt - through Student Of The Year, says the youth brigade aspires to be like Shah Rukh, but their aim shouldn't be that. These kids want to be like Shah Rukh, I just told them the way SRK shoots, takes the light, does not fumble even once and controls the camera with his eyes... no one, I repeat no one, can ever do that! There is only one Shah Rukh Khan,? he said.

He has also brought in his cook and ensures that everyone in the sets gets food cooked by his personal cook. It is heard that Salman bonds well with Prakash and has reportedly quipped that Prakash should not take off his shirt since he is a bit plump.

SRK loyalists switch to Salman

With Dabangg becoming one of India's biggest box-office hits, loyalists from Shah Rukh Khan's camp are straying into an unlikely compound — Galaxy Apartments a.k.a Sallu's den.

SRK loyalists seem to be changing camps after Dabangg has set the cash registers ringing. On Saturday evening, Salman hosted a bash (the twin reasons being Eid, Ganpati and Dabangg raking it in at the box-office).

What raised eyebrows at the party was the entry of four Shah Rukh loyalists- Nikhil Dwivedi, Ritesh Deshmukh, Sanjay Kapoor and Chunky Pandey.

For Nikhil, we understand that he had a promise to keep. Not so long ago, he had differences with Shah Rukh and later patched up. But during that period, he became close to Salman.

However, nobody at the party itself could stop talking about the entry of Ritesh, Sanjay and Chunky.

When contacted, Sanjay was diplomatic. He said, "Yes, I did go to Salman's residence on Saturday. That way, I went to Shah Rukh's Eid party too on Saturday. I am equally close to both, Salman and Shah Rukh." Wonder how he maintains a balanced equation between two sworn enemies!

Chunky in his inimitable style said, "I go everywhere."

Nikhil Dwivedi and Ritesh Deshmukh chose not to reply to our text messages. Guess the question was too tricky!

I’m really, really sorry: Salman Khan

Actor Salman Khan publicly apologized on Sunday evening for his controversial remarks about the 26/11 terror attack on Mumbai. Salman's comments, that the Pakistani government was not involved in the attack and that the coverage was hyped only because "elite" peole were targeted, raised an outcry in several quarters, including the state government and political parties.

In an interview given to a Pakistani television channel, Salman, who is no stranger to controversy, was asked about the anti-Pakistan sentiment in India following the attack. Salman replied, "Everybody knew the (Pakistani) government was not behind it and that it was a terrorist attack.

Salman admits 'He is broken up with Katrina'

The "it couple" of Bollywood-Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif-have parted ways. In an interview to Headlines Today, Salman confessed that the two have indeed moved on.

"I have broken up with Katrina. We were friends then for everybody, we are friends now," Salman said.

Reasoning the break up Salman said, "Koi cheez tootati hain toh isliye kyonki ya to different ways chali gayi hain, ya ek shakhs ki growth nahin hui, ya ek ne kuch aur path chun liya hai, ya sensibility samajh mein nahi aati, ya thinking galat ho gayi hain (A relationship breaks if it gets stretched in different directions, or one person does not grow, or the other person takes a different path, or there is some misunderstanding) or they have grown out of love."

"So there are different interferences, the parents perhaps... or the interference of anything," he said, adding, "It's just two people not getting along, something that obviously doesn't end peacefully. But if you can manage to stay friends, there is nothing like it."

Katrina however preferred to leave it to god rather than answering directly whether the two have actually parted ways. "I don't think any of us know the future. We always try and make plans and I have learnt from my experience that you really cannot make plans. God has made his own plans for you," Katrina said.

However, hinting that it could be a publicity stunt, Salman ended the chat saying, "Aapko bahut samay tak confuse rakhenge hum dono (Both of us will keep you confused for a long time)."

There is no war between SRK and me: Salman

Bollywood actor Salman Khan says there is no war or rivalry between him and his colleague Shah Rukh Khan. He said stories of friction between them are created by the media and that he is tired of such “news”.

“There is no war between us. It is the media who creates all this misunderstanding,” Salman said.

“You will ask me some question about him here and then you will ask him the same question regarding me somewhere else — then you clip them together and run it continuously on TV screens for days creating unnecessary hype and misunderstanding,” he added.

The actor clarified that he is tired of such rumours and doesn’t enjoy them at all.

“I would request you to show respect to him and me as well. I am tired of all this. Aren’t you people bored too?” asked Salman.

‘Sallu has a heart of gold’

Salman Khan has a new addition to the long list of his fans! This time it’s none other than pretty woman Preity Zinta. The spunky actress who will make a brief appearance in Sohail Khan Productions’ Main Aur Mrs Khanna with an item song was bowled over by Khan and his “heart of gold”. So much so, she refused to charge a rupee for her work in the film. A source said, “Salman has stood by Preity whenever she needed him. when they approached her to do a brief appearance in Main Aur Mrs Khanna, Preity said yes instantly. It’s pay back time and she is glad she could be a part of the project.”

Shahrukh Khan is the best: Salman Khan

Friends turning foes and vis versa is not uncommon in Bollywood. The relationship between Shahrukh Khan and Salman Khan turned sour after the clash at Katrina Kaif's birthday last year. However, they would become friends again, as Salman's comment that Shahrukh is the best, would pave the way for a patch up.

Salman surprised everyone on his television show 10 Ka Dum by heaping praises on his arch rival Shahrukh. He said that Shahrukh is the best when it comes to romantic scenes. He added that the intensity in his eyes is really romantic and could make anybody go crazy . As if that is not enough, he went on to say that Shahrukh is great professionally.


Well, Salman seems to have buried the dirty past and wants to start life anew. Now, it's up to Shahrukh to set up patch up process or leave it.
