Aditya-Shweta bond big time

Though his first film is yet to release, Aditya Narayan is already making news for an alleged link up with his Shaapit co-star Shweta Aggarwal. The actor however, rubbishes the rumours.
“We used to hang out with each other after the shoots, but we are just friends. Before the release of the movie, reports always surface that the lead pair is seeing each other. She is a sweet girl and we have actually grown close to each other as friends,” he adds.
This is not the first time Aditya has made news for his link-ups. Earlier, word was doing the rounds that he was seeing reality show participant Mauli Dave. However, he says he is not even in touch with Mauli now. “We were friends, but it has been some time since we met. Maybe she has a boyfriend now who does not want her to meet me,” he quips, adding, “I am going on a trip to Europe in April for 10 days after my film releases and I hope to find a companion by then.”

Ghai never to work with Irrfan

Buzz has it that Subhash Ghai has sworn never to work with Irrfan (Khan — the actor has done away with his surname) again. The director was upset because Irrfan gave him a tough time about the promotions of Right Yaaa Wrong and threw a fit about how Sunny Deol was given more prominence in the film.
“Irrfan felt that Sunny’s role was lengthier when he saw the rough version of Right Yaaa Wrong. He wanted his role to be extended and told director Neerraj Pathak the same. But Subhash Ghai and Neerraj refused to cow down to the actor’s unreasonable demand. Later, when he was asked to come for the promotional events, Irrfan refused to attend them,” said a source.
When contacted Subhash Ghai said, “Irrfan has done a wonderful job and the media has given him positive feedback though he felt he has been let down by Neerraj Pathak. I am happy Irrfan's performance has been appreciated.”

Hrithik’s sister elopes!

Life inflicted one blow after another on Hrithik Roshan’s older sister Sunaina, but she braved her way through a failed marriage, single parenthood, a broken engagement and cancer.

Though things are looking up for her again, life is still not hunky-dory. Her recent secret marriage resulted in her losing out on the support of her parents and brother with whom she had been staying for nearly ten years after her first marriage ended.

Since the past few weeks, there were rumours in the industry that Rakesh Roshan’s daughter had secretly remarried. When we called her last week, Sunaina dismissed it as a preposterous rumour. However, Sunaina called us up yesterday to spill the beans that she has indeed tied the knot with Mohan Nagar, who is in the construction business.

Sunaina is no longer staying with her father at the Roshans’ Juhu residence, Palazzio. “We decided to get married three months ago (December 2009). Mohan and I stay at Lokhandwala, Andheri now,” says Sunaina.

Sunaina and Mohan had been dating for six months before they legalised their relationship. “We got married on January 20 in a temple and then registered our marriage in court,” Mohan Nagar told Mumbai Mirror.

Recalling his dating period with Sunaina, Mohan says, “We met on a flight and got talking. After that, we kept in touch”. The rest, as they say, is history. However, the Roshans have clearly expressed their displeasure at Sunaina’s decision, to which Sunaina says hopefully, “They’ll come around in the next few months. I will convince them.” Sunaina, who is the co-producer of her father’s forthcoming film Kites, has also stopped working on the film due to the strain within the family.

Commenting further on her secret marriage, she adds, “I am very happy with Mohan as he is a fantastic guy. When we fell in love, we just knew that we had to get married. There is nothing about him that I don’t like.”

Sunaina was earlier married to Ashish Soni, who is now married to telly actress-anchor Shonali Malhotra. Sunaina and Ashish were married for eight years and parted ways in 2000. They have a 13-year-old daughter who stays with Ashish and Shonali. In 2005, Sunaina was engaged to US-based Nick Udaysingh but the engagement did not culminate in marriage.

This is Mohan’s second marriage too. “I was born and brought up in Mumbai. I had migrated to Canada but am now settled in India. I was married earlier but that marriage ended in divorce,” says Mohan. Though Sunaina had said that her family was livid, dad Rakesh Roshan was rather cool about it. “I am happy if she is happy,” he said.

Akshay forces Farah to arrange a helicopter

Farah Khan displayed her motherly side recently while shooting for Tees Maar Khan with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif at Malshej Ghat. Akshay wanted to return home after the shoots to be with his son, who was in Mumbai, which is why he declined the offer to stay in Malshej Ghat for 21 days.

This obviously meant extra expenses for Farah Khan. The director, who had brought her triplets to Malshej Ghat told Akshay that when she could bring her children from Mumbai, why he couldn’t stay on. But when Akshay refused to stay, she understood his feelings, being a mother herself and arranged for a helicopter for him.

She did it because Akshay told her that he didn’t want to be away from his son for this long. Once again, Farah’s shown her side as the true friend, hasn’t she?

Kareena Kapoor too tied up for Twittes

It has been a wonder for the people from the industry as well as fans that even though a majority of Bollywood is on Twitter, Kareena Kapoor continues to evade the microblogging site.


At Shahrukh Khan’s press conference for Ra.1, she was asked why she wasn’t tweeting yet. Kareena expressed that she was still not sure about the whole idea and would need at least another month to settle on an answer. Kareena needs to think about it so carefully because at present she’s too tied up with work to sign up on the site and start using it. Also, she wonders if she will be able to stick by it regularly once she starts it.

Former Miss World and actress Priyanka Chopra is confidence personified. She carries herself off so well both on and off the screens. So, it came as a surprise when she tweeted that her role in Vishal Bharadwaj's Saat Khoon Maaf has unnerved her.

"Prep for vishal sirs film in full swing!! one of the toughest characters of my life..so scared.. dunno how ill pull it off!!" posted Priyanka on her twitter page.

In Saat Khoon Maaf, she plays a character with seven husbands. Veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah is going to play her oldest spouse and Neil Nitin Mukesh is youngest hubby. She had earlier worked with Bharadwaj in the hit film Kaminey.

Bollywood's raunchiest sex scene

From the nooks and crannies they peek at them. The hidden cameras videotape them romping in bed, in departmental stores, in offices, or where there’re no prying eyes. In his third feature film Love Sex Aur Dhokha, director Dibakar Banerjee takes the viewers to a voyeuristic journey of three distinct but intersecting stories about love, sex and betrayal.

The movie breaks a new barrier in that it takes an unflinching look at sex through a sub-plot about an MMS sex scandal. It features a most eye-popping sex scene showing a totally nude couple romping on the floor.

An image from the scene that’s been leaked on the web has created quite a stir about the explicit sex scene, upsetting Dibakar Banerjee, who says the movie should not be judged from just one scene.

As Dibakar tells a tabloid, “I want the scene to be judged as part of the film. To use the picture out of context will be damaging to the film. The idea is not to draw vicarious pleasure from it.” Supporting the director, producer Ekta Kapoor too goes verbal, “The purpose of the nude scene is not to titillate.”

Dibakar defines LSD as a “gut-wrenching film”. He just hopes that the Censor Board understands the significance of the sex scene and the message film wants to deliver through it.

Sajid bans Ranbir, Priyanka’s tweets

Sajid Nadiadwala is the first film producer to actually take the much-needed step against stars putting up information about under-production films on social networking websites.

This especially applies to one microblogging site, which according to one producer, is the “souten of all confidentiality clauses in film contracts.”

While other producers and directors have only been talking about it, Sajid Nadiadwala has belled the cat. He has contractually forbidden his cast and crew from going on any social networking site to write about his new film Anjaana Anjaani.

This critical decision had to be taken after Nadiadwala saw a constant inflow of pictures and information being put up on the said site. Priyanka Chopra and Ranbir Kapoor are both on the site. The former is especially active on the network.

Sajid had a closed-door meeting with his director and decided enough was enough.

Says Sajid, “I actually took the decision to forbid my cast and crew from putting any information on websites after an incident that happened with Sajid Khan, my director of Housefull. We were doing a photo-session with the film’s stars. We weren’t even finished and Sajid Khan had already put one of the pictures on the site. I was horrified. That’s when I decided it was time to make the confidentiality clause a legal issue in all my contracts.”

Sajid Nadiadwala laments the lack of privacy among stars today. “I remember when my father produced JP Dutta’s Ghulami, we’d stand outside Dharmendra’s van for hours waiting for him to emerge so we could see what he wore, how he styled his hair, what watch he had on, etc. Today the stars volunteer all this information on the social networks even before the director takes his first shot. I think all of us need to make confidentiality compulsory for every film."

Sajid says the internet syndrome started to affect him during Kambakkht Ishq. “But then it wasn’t so bad because the fad hadn’t become an epidemic in our film industry. Kareena and Akshay Kumar were not on such sites,” observes Nadiadwala.

Needless to say, Priyanka Chopra’s ceaseless tweeting prompted Nadiadwala to take the decision to forbid his films from being discussed minute-by-minute on the internet.

Shocking sex scene in Love, Sex Aur Dhokha

All-out sex scene in Love, Sex Aur Dhokha may be the most shocking scene in a commercial hindi film yet Ekta Kapoor's next release, Love, Sex Aur Dhokha, directed by Dibakar Banerjee, is a path-breaking film in many ways. It's meant to shock and outrage. And though the film transmits that in every thread, the most scandalous part of the film is the sex scene between two actors.

The scene comes in the second story Paap Ki Dukaan. It is the most shocking scene to be ever filmed in a commercial Hindi film. Never before have two protagonists stripped down completely. But the nudity in the scene is not even remotely aimed to titillate. If anything, it is gag-inducing, guaranteed to repel you. Like the rape scene filmed on Monica Bellucci in Irreversible.


Dibakar Banerjee isn't happy, "I would like to state on record that I am not comfortable about the picture coming out. I want the scene to be judged as part of the film. To use the picture out of context will be damaging to the film. The idea is not to draw vicarious pleasure from it. The scene comes after you have lived with the character for 30 minutes.

“The story makes you live through the dilemma of the character and how they realise that they have done something they can never undo. It's tragic. I would advise the people who go to watch the film to not go for the nude scene as they will not get what they want."

Ekta Kapoor, Producer, echoes her director's thoughts, "The purpose of the nude scene is not to titillate. The scene is part of a story that deals with a MMS scandal and establishes loss of face and faith after the act. The scene is so stark and shot so realistically that at the end of the story, women will feel upset, men scared. When you love someone, you are uninhibited but when that person takes advantage of that, it's disgusting!"

Dibakar says, "I am apprehensive about the reaction of the members of the censor board as this kind of film needs that kind of sensitivity. I am all for the creative integrity of the subject matter and my job is to see that the message is delivered. It's not about the sex scene but how to retain the integrity of the story while remaining within the legal limits of the land. I'd say it's a genre-defining film and the most emotionally draining, gut-wrenching film I've made till now. There's a lot of heart burn in LSD."

Neil tells Shahrukh to shut up at Filmfare Awards

The who and who of Bollywood was present at the 55th Filmfare Awards held at the Yash Raj studios. The noisy auditorium turned silent after Neil Nitin Mukesh told his seniors Shahrukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan to ‘shut up’.

The delegates at the function feared for the worst, as the memories of director Ashutosh Gowariker bursting out at Farah Khan and Sajid Khan at a film award function, rushed back. Neil lost his cool at the recent Filmfare Award after co-host Shahrukh and Saif tested his patience.


Shahrukh pulled the final trigger by saying why he has three names and no surname. He went on to say that his surname is Khan and so too Saif’s but he has no last name. On being mentioned on his family, Neil got into a rage and told Shahrukh to restrain himself, as his father was in the audience. He didn’t stop there. He told Shahrukh to just ‘shut up’.

Silence followed after the unexpected outburst. After the show, Katrina Kaif went up to Neil and told him to apologise to SRK and Bipasha Basu told him that the act was scary. The actor himself is yet to come out of the incident. The very thought of telling Shahrukh to shut up still shakes him. He said that he even broke eggs on the heads of Shahrukh and Saif at the end of the show.

Hold on guys, it was part of the show. Neil revealed that Shahrukh told him what he should do on the stage. He added that he was even asked to throw eggs at his co-hosts but he begged to at least spare him on that. He instead chose to break eggs on the heads after the show.

Neil’s shocked father has not forgiven him for the act. He said that he is glad people has finally got a taste of his mischievous side but added that he would never repeat the act again…never again.

Well Neil, your recent act has proved that you have come a long way as far as acting is concerned.

Vidhu Vinod, Sonu Nigam clash

The committee formed to tackle the royalty issue between the producers and the music fraternity finds that the cause is being sidelined. After the much talked about face-off between Javed Akhtar and Aamir Khan, they’re dealing with another war of words between Sonu Nigam and Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

Apparently, they got into a heated debate and Vidhu abused Sonu, who in turn retaliated spiritedly. Some members of the committee had to intervene to settle the fallout.

Our source said, “Sonu proposed that the producer should keep 50 per cent of the royalties, while the music director and the singer should keep 25 per cent each. Vidhu disagreed and stated that the music directors or singers should take on the losses as well. When Sonu stuck to his guns at the meeting held at a suburban five star, Vidhu lost his cool and abused him. He told Sonu to ‘f*** off’, and a shocked Sonu was visibly upset. He told Vidhu to mind his language.

An incensed Vidhu said that Sonu is making so much money and most of his songs are from his (Vidhu’s) films, so he should give some of the amount to him. Finally, Vidhu said that he will not work with Sonu. The singer shot back that it is entirely Vidhu’s loss. The matter wouldn’t have ended there had Madhur Bhandarkar and Ken Ghosh not intervened.”

Sonu Nigam gave us his side of the story. He said, “We are not supposed to talk about what has happened, but since you called, I do not wish to negate it. Vidhu got a little excited and he has the habit of speaking in that manner. I don’t want to hold it against him as I have heard worse abuses from Vidhu. All I can say is that main saste mein chhoot gaya.”

When asked about his reaction to Vidhu’s decision about not working with him again, Sonu said, “That’s my decision completely. I know that I am a good singer and no one is doing a favour to anyone. Yahan koi kissi ko banata nahin hai. We all are students of this art and if someone does not want to acknowledge anyone’s work, it’s their problem.” Sonu finally added, “After the meeting, he came up to me and the matter got resolved. Vidhu is known to be like this and uske moonh se gaali nikal gayee, toh humne bhi de diya jawab. However, he is known for this, so I won’t hold it against him.”

Vidhu Vinod Chopra remained unavailable for comment.

Article on Aishwarya is 'slander' says Big B

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan today defended his decision to boycott the Filmfare awards, where he was adjudged best actor for his role in Paa, saying he did it to protest against the "slanderous" media report about his daughter-in-law Aishwarya.

"The article was indecent and any man in the world must oppose if such an obscene article is written about a woman in his family," the 68-year-old actor said on his blog. The veteran movie star termed the article in a city-based tabloid, as "slanderous".

Lambasting the report Bachchan said "the modesty of a lady in my house was slandered... the article slandered Aishwarya, so it was very difficult to participate in a function organised by the same media house."

No women would like her personal issues such as fertility or motherhood being discussed in this manner, he added.

An article published last week claimed Aishwarya, married to Amitabh's son Abhishek was suffering from stomach tuberculosis and this might be the reason that she had not yet
conceived.

Amitabh demanded a public apology from the media house and since this did not take place, the entire Bachchan parivar boycotted the Filmfare award ceremony organised by the same group yesterday.

Even Aishwarya, who was to perform at the awards, pulled out from the event and the Bachchans have served a legal notice to the newspaper.

"For the moment... that despite a few personal apologies from the management and owners, no public apology has taken place. You cannot abuse me in public and then come and say sorry to me in private," he wrote on his blog.

Sussanne shocked everyone when she welcomed husband Hrithik Roshan's Kites co-star Barbara on Social Network site Twitter. Given the rumours floating around about Mori's alleged relationship with Hrithik, Sussanne's heartfelt tweets came as surprise for many.

Sussanne tweeted, “Hola Chiquita, hey, sending you a big hug from India and all my followers...hey tweeple, my beautiful friend Barbara Mori.. welcome her!”

Barbara wrote in response, “Hey, baby! I can't wait to go to India. I'm so excited. We will travel all over the world together! It's going to be so much fun.” She posted to the couple, “Missing us from this part of the world....but see us soon!”

Barbara also showers praises on Hrithik for his dancing abilities: “I'm not as good as Hrithik. He is the best dancer ever... I think he is more beautiful inside than outside and he is very lucky to have a Sussanne in his life! Both are beautiful!”

She'll be in India only in May, she says, “Will go there in May for the promo, no new project there till now, but dying to go there. What I like more in India are the people...I loved all of you...you are amazing people!”

Arshad hikes price for Golmaal 3

While his fortunes continue their upward spiral after the success of Ishqiya, also moving upward are Arshad Warsi’s fees. We hear that the actor has hiked his price after the success of the film.
Sources inform us that director Rohit Shetty approached Arshad for Golmaal 3, but found out that the actor has hiked his price for the film. So far Arshad is still a part of the movie. However, Shetty has not yet confirmed whether Arshad will continue with the film or not.
Meanwhile, shooting has already begun on Golmaal 3 in Goa. The sets are being put up and the entire cast comprising Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor and Shreyas Talpade will be joining Shetty soon for the shoot.
