Megastar Chiru To Promote “Hello”

Apparently, Akkineni Nagarjuna is leaving no stone unturned to promote “Hello”, the second film of his younger son Akhil, as he wants to hear only a blockbuster from the box office. And that is leading to various celebs coming on board for the promotions.

In a bid to increase Overseas collections and make those NRI audiences aware of the film’s arrival, right now Akhil is touring in the USA. The man who is helping this youngster big time is none other than Rana Daggubati, a host of Akhil’s tour in the United States. And now, everyone is looking forward to the film’s pre-release event that is likely to take place in the USA on December 20th.

None other than Megastar Chiranjeevi is turning up as a Chief Guest for this event as per reports pouring in. Already audio launch became a huge success in Vizag as both the tide of politicians and ensemble crowd at the venue made it lively. Now that Megastar is arriving, surely mega fans will join Akkineni fans on this occasion and make it a grand success.

Seems Nagarjuna is believing that if just two days before the release, if a buzz is raked up this way, then “Hello” will get positive hype and maximised opening. Earlier during “Akhil” days, Mahesh Babu turned up as a guest at audio launch as Nagarjuna attended as Chief Guest for Mahesh’s debut film Rajakumarudu’s audio launch.

స్వయంగా అఖిల్ చెబుతున్న మాటిది. పార్టీలో ప్రభాస్ ఉంటే ఆ కిక్కే వేరంటున్నాడు ఈ అక్కినేని హీరో. రానాతో కలిసి ఎక్స్ క్లూజివ్ గా పార్టీ చేసుకుంటే ఆ పార్టీకి ఎవర్ని పిలుస్తారనే ప్రశ్నకు అఖిల్ ఇలా స్పందించాడు. పార్టీలో తను, రానాతో పాటు ప్రభాస్ ఉంటే చాలా బాగుంటుందని అంటున్నాడు.

"నేను ఎప్పుడు పార్టీ చేసుకున్నా అక్కడ రానా ఉండాల్సిందే. నాకు అలా అలవాటైపోయింది. ఇక మేమిద్దరం కలిసి కూర్చున్నప్పుడు.. ఎక్కువగా మాట్లాడుకునేది ప్రభాస్ గురించే. పార్టీలో ప్రభాస్ ఉంటే చాలా బాగుంటుంది. ఇక నాకు, రానాకు చాలా క్లోజ్ ఫ్రెండ్ రామ్ చరణ్. పార్టీ ఉంటే చరణ్ కు కచ్చితంగా కాల్ చేస్తా." అంటున్నాడు అఖిల్.

తామంతా పార్టీని చాలా కూల్ గా ఎంజాయ్ చేస్తామని... కానీ తమ బ్యాచ్ లోకి మంచు మనోజ్, సాయిధరమ్ తేజ్ చేరారంటే మాత్రం రచ్చ అయిపోతుందంటున్నాడు అఖిల్. వాళ్లిద్దరి అల్లరిని బ్యాలెన్స్ చేయడం తమ వల్ల కాదంటున్నాడు.

డబుల్ థియేటర్లు నాన్నకేనంట?

పండగ సినిమాల్లో ఎగ్జిబిటర్లు దేనిపై ఆశలు పెట్టుకున్నారు..దేని వైపు మొగ్గు చూపుతున్నారు అంటే, నాన్నకు ప్రేమతో సినిమాకేనంట. ఫర్ ఎగ్జాంపుల్ అయిదు థియేటర్లు వున్నాయి అనుకుందాం. నాలుగు సినిమాలు నాలుగు థియేటర్లలోవేసి, అయిదో థియేటర్ కు సినిమా అనేసరికి నాన్నకు ప్రేమతో వైపు చూస్తున్నారంట. సాధారణంగా వెయ్యి నుంచి పన్నెండు వందల స్క్రీన్లు వేస్తారు క్రేజ్ వున్న పెద్ద సినిమాలు.కానీ ఈ సారి అంత అవకాశం కనిపించడం లేదు. నాన్నకు ప్రేమతో మొదటి రోజు మాత్రం వెయ్యి నుంచి పన్నెండు వందల స్క్రీన్ లు దొరికేసాయి. మర్నాటికి ఆ సంఖ్య ఏడు ఎనిమిది వందలకు తగ్గిపోతుంది. సోగ్గాడే చిన్నినాయనా దాదాపు 450 నుంచి అయిదు వందల స్క్రీన్ లు వుంటాయి. అలాగే ఎక్స్ ప్రెస్ రాజా కూడా ఆ రేంజ్ లోనే వుంటుంది. ఇక డిక్టేటర్ కూడా నాన్నకు ప్రేమతో సమానంగా ఏడెనిమిది వందల స్క్రీన్ లు వుండొచ్చని వినికిడి. అయితే ఫస్ట్ వీక్ కాగానే ఏ సినిమా వైనా కొన్ని థియేటర్లు లేచిపోవడం ఖాయం. వాటిని మంచి టాక్ తెచ్చుకున్న సినిమా లాక్కొవడం అంతకన్నా ఖాయం. ఇలా అందుకునే సినిమా ఏమై వుంటుంది అన్నది క్వశ్చను. ఎందుకుంటే నాలుగుకు నాలుగు సినిమాలు ప్రామిసింగ్ ఫీడ్ బ్యాక్ తోనే వున్నాయి. అందువల్ల 15వరకు ఏ విషయం తేలదు.

Bahubali Prabhas Fired On Express Raja Makers?

This Sankranthi will be more intense with the biggies like Nannaku Prematho, Dictator and Soggade Chinni Nayana fighting it out to walk away with the cake. But all of a sudden, the makers of Sharwanand's Express Raja showed their courage and joined the Sankranthi battle. Many in the industry are apparently calling the makers as being slightly over confident and are opining that they should have given space and facilitate more screens to the big ticket films by postponing their film's release by at least a week. Even Prabhas, the head honcho of UV Creations, has reportedly fumed on the producers for sandwiching a small film like Express Raja amidst the biggies. Apparently, Prabhas even cautioned them about the negative talk UV Creations has been getting of late. We will have to wait and see if Express Raja will strike gold at the box-office and justify the producers' confidence. On the other hand, even the buyers who bought Express Raja at heavy prices are expressing their concerns about recovering their investments, with the biggies occupying most of the screens and apparently, some of them are even miffed with the producers for this haphazard release.

They Are Creating Censor Hurdles for NTR?

According to the latest reports, a section is trying its best to create hurdles for the censor of NTR's Pongal release Nannaku Prematho. These people are said to be creating technical problems for the censor of Nannaku Prematho so that the film's release would be delayed and hence it won't arrive on festival. Apparently, few individuals are toying with the idea of creating troubles for NTR's release so that it won't eat in the Collections of other films. To starters, there're four releases lined up for this Sankranthi including Balakrishna's Dictator, Nagarjuna's Soggade Chinni Nayana, NTR's Nannaku Prematho and Sharwanand-starrer Express Raja. With this, there's a big jostle for screens and also for the openings. Naturally, few big brains are allegedly trying to defer the release of Nannaku Prematho. There's no exact confirmation on who's behind this, but many say it's just speculation doing the rounds in the industry. Hope such acts won't turn fruitful as all these filmmakers are capable of getting a proper release for their own films.

రామ్‌ గోపాల్‌ వర్మ సినిమాల్ని జనాలు పట్టించుకోవడం కూడా మానేసిన రోజులొచ్చేశాయి ఈ మధ్య. ఆయన దర్శకత్వంలో తెరకెక్కిన చివరి సినిమా '365 డేస్‌' వచ్చిన సంగతి, వెళ్లిన సంగతి కూడా చాలామందికి తెలియదు. వరుసగా దారుణమైన సినిమాలు తీసి తనకున్న రెపుటేషన్‌ మొత్తం పోగొట్టుకున్నాడు వర్మ. గతంలో లాగా వర్మ పబ్లిసిటీ జిమ్మిక్కులు కూడా పని చేయడం మానేశాయి. ఇలాంటి పరిస్థితుల్లో చాలా ఏళ్ల తర్వాత వర్మ ముద్ర కనిపించి.. ఆసక్తి రేపిన సినిమా 'కిల్లింగ్‌ వీరప్పన్‌'. దీని ప్రోమోస్‌, ట్రైలర్స్‌, అందులోని విజువల్స్‌ సినిమా మీద కలిగించాయి. దీనికి తోడు జనవరి 1న విడుదలైన కన్నడ వెర్షన్‌ కు అద్భుతమైన రివ్యూలు కూడా వచ్చాయి. దీంతో తెలుగులో మంచి క్రేజ్‌ మధ్య గురువారం విడుదలవుతోందీ సినిమా. సంక్రాంతికి భారీ సినిమాలు వరుస కడుతున్న నేపథ్యంలో ఈ వారం ఓ మోస్తరు సినిమా కూడా మరేదీ విడుదల కావట్లేదు. దీంతో సోలోగా మంచి క్రేజ్‌ మధ్య విడుదలవుతోంది 'కిల్లింగ్‌ వీరప్పన్‌'. థియేటర్లు కూడా బాగా ఇచ్చారీ సినిమాకు. ముందే పాజిటివ్‌ టాక్‌ ఉన్న నేపథ్యంలో చాన్నాళ్ల తర్వాత వర్మ సినిమాకు థియేటర్లు కళకళలాడే అవకాశాలు కనిపిస్తున్నాయి. కలెక్షన్లు కూడా బాగానే వచ్చే ఛాన్సుంది.

'ది ఈక్విలైజర్‌' అని గత ఏడాది విడుదలై పెద్ద హిట్టయిన హాలీవుడ్‌ మూవీ నుంచి స్ఫూర్తి పొంది 'డిక్టేటర్‌' కథ తయారు చేసినట్లు చెబుతున్నారు. 'డిక్టేటర్లో' హీరో సూపర్‌ మార్కెట్లో సూపర్‌ వైజర్‌ గా పని చేస్తూ సాధారణ జీవితం గడుపుతుంటారు. ఐతే ఆపదలో ఉన్న హీరోయిన్ని కాపాడే ప్రయత్నంలో అతను గతంలో పెద్ద మాఫియా డాన్‌ అని వెల్లడవుతుంది. తర్వాత ఫ్లాష్‌ బ్యాక్‌ మొదలవుతుంది. ఫ్లాష్‌ బ్యాక్‌ ముగిశాక హీరో మళ్లీ డాన్‌ అవతారమెత్తి విలన్‌ గ్యాంగు పని పడతాడు. ఇది 'బాషా' రోజుల నుంచి చూస్తున్న ఫార్మాటే కానీ.. సినిమాలో ఇంకేదో వెరైటీ పాయింట్ట్రీ ఉందని.. ట్రీట్మెంట్‌ భిన్నంగా ఉంటుందని అంటున్నారు. హాలీవుడ్‌ సినిమా నుంచి పాయింట్‌ తీసుకుని.. తెలుగు నేటివిటీకి తగ్గ ట్రీట్మెంట్‌ తో స్క్రిప్టు తయారు చేయించాడట శ్రీవాస్‌. ఐతే సినిమాలో బాలయ్యది డ్యూయల్‌ రోల్‌ అన్న ప్రచారం కూడా జరుగుతోంది.

NTR Promoting On Nagarjuna's Show

Next week there will be huge fight between Nandamuri Balakrishna and NTR as their respective movies are releasing in a day's gap. Two days later Nagarjuna will also come with his own movie Soggade Chinni Nayana and compete with them. Despite such competition between them at box-office, both NTR and Nagarjuna are backing each other. Nagarjuna personally invited NTR to come to his TV show Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu for the Sankranthi special show and NTR reportedly accepted the invitation and shot for the program. So NTR will be promoting his movie Nannaku Prematho on Nagarjuna's show. Nagarjuna has invited several top stars of Tollywood to his show but it is really unusual to invite a star whose film is competing with his film at the same time. As shooting has already been wrapped, NTR is now participating in all the promotional activities so that his film gets good start. He needs a big hit at this time of his career.

'Dictator' Censored With 'U/A'

Good news for the Nandamuri fans! The censor for Nandamuri Balakrishna’s latest movie, Dictator has been completed and the board has given a U/A rating. The board has been extremely pleased with the dialogues, the action sequences and the story of the movie, and have congratulated Nandamuri Balakrishna for making such a movie. Dictator is all set to release on the 14th of January, during Sankranthi. This movie, directed by Sriwass, is said to be a complete family entertainer, and the censor board has simply loved the music, scored by S.S.Thaman. The foot tapping music is already a hit, and the teasers have garnered maximum number of hits on youtube as well. The leading ladies of the movie, Sonal Chauhan and Anjali, both are said to have done incredible work in this movie. Dictator is being jointly produced by the director, Sriwass, under the banner of Vedhaaswa, the production company,along with Eros International. Eros International is also distributing it worldwide.

Baahubali Took Away 2 Blockbusters From Rana

Tollywood's macho man Rana Daggubati has become an overnight phenomenon nationwide thanks to the monstrous success of Baahubali and his menacing performance as the cruel Bhallaladeva. Rana won an immense fan adulation too with the film's gigantic success. However, here are a couple of solo blockbusters which Rana did lose due to Baahubali. Apparently, director Anil Ravipudi first approached Rana for his blockbuster debut film Patas. Rana couldn't accept the film as he was busy shooting for Baahubali. And the second blockbuster which got everyone talking was Thani Oruvan, the smashing Tamil thriller which is going to be remade in Telugu by Rana's close friend Ram Charan. While most of the credit for Baahubali's success went to Prabhas and Rajamouli, the two missed blockbusters would have cemented Rana's position as a solo star.

ER Buyers Terrified Of Nannaku Prematho!

Low budget movies usually stay away from clashing with big budget movies. When small films don’t like to compete with one big movie, Express Raja producers surprised everybody by entering into the Sankranthi race. Even Soggade Chinni Nayana starring veteran star Nagarjuna is likely to struggle to get good number of screens because of the clash of Dictator and Nannaku Prematho. How could Express Raja get a decent release when three biggies are fighting it out? UV Creations has a wonderful track record and Sharwanand has become more reliable than ever, but pitching ER against three big movies is questionable. The effects of this are already seen as few buyers are expressing helplessness in getting a decent release for Express Raja. As per sources buyer who has bagged the overseas rights of Express Raja is worried about the heavy competition. Nannaku Prematho in particular is riding on high expectations and is likely to be allotted maximum screens in US. Sukumar’s brand name and the buzz around this NTR’s film have put Nannaku Prematho above the competition. Dictator and Soggade Chinna Nayana too would try to get as many screens as possible. Express Raja buyer who bagged the overseas rights for Rs 1.2 crore needs many screens to recover his investment. That is not possible in this scenario. Run Raja Run has done well in US but it was released when there wasn’t any competition. Express Raja too could do well but these may not be the ideal conditions for this small film. As per trade sources buyers of this movie are facing trouble in finding good theaters in the domestic circuit too. This film will need something exceptional to withstand this tough competition.

Pawan Kalyan goes an extra mile for Panjaa

Reports say, Powerstar Pawan Kalyan is going the extra mile to promote his upcoming film 'Panjaa'. In his 15 years of film career, the actor always kept himself away from promotional activities despite several attempts by the filmmakers.

Pawan Kalyan always believed in the words of 'let the work speak'. But, for the first time in his career he has agreed to give an exclusive interview speaking about 'Panjaa'. The interview was recorded just few hours back and the producers were very excited about it.

TV Reality Shows Gobble Navadeep's Film Chances

Smart hero Navadeep is now caged in anchor’s role. Though he is found deeply engrossed in anchoring “Super,” one of the popular reality shows being aired on ETV, he seems to be regretting for the same.

After signing this programme, no one has offered a hero role in films.

On the other hand, offers have been pouring in for him many small screen managers for the anchor shows of similar kind.

All said and done, Navadeep has received kudos for performing this job with an amazing ease. He adds glamour to the show by bringing not-so-faded heroines to the show.

This is about the bridegrooms of Tollywood. Apparently, a film by name 'Pellikoduku' was made by Bapu earlier in 1994. This became a flop. This was followed by the film 'Varudu' and this was directed by Gunasekhar. Despite a lot of hype, the film turned out to be a massive dud.

Now, the latest we see is the arrival of the film 'Mogudu' directed by Krishna Vamsi and even this has resulted in a major flop. Dir Raju's Oh My Friend Review

Chandu (Siddharth) and Siri (Shruti Hasan) are thick childhood friends. While Chandu wanted to be a member of rock band, Siri is a classical dancer. Chandu’s father Kishan (Tanikella) feels that his son doesn’t have clarity on life unlike Siri who takes every step in life very carefully. Siri is in love with Uday (Navdeep), living in USA and they are to get engaged. Soon, Chandu too falls in love with his inter classmate Ritu (Hansika). With help of Siri, he succeeds in winning her love.

Time when everything is looking happy, all four are set on a journey to Kerala where Chandu has to attend a music competition. Things fall apart as misunderstandings creep on the friendship of Chandu and Siri disturbing the relation between Chandu-Ritu and Siri-Uday. Even parents of these two close friends misinterpret their relation as Love and Marriage as the only solution available. How did Chandu, Siri solve their problem? What kind of sacrifice did they make for the sake of society to realize on a friendship between boy and girl forms a meaningful climax..!

What makes difference here is Venu’s stylish, innovative scripting. As a director, no where did he allow a lag or boring episodes to enter into narration. Tunes composed by Rahul Raj breezed new life and Mani Sharma’s background is very sensible. Cinematography by Vijay K Chakravarthy is top notch that brought enormous richness presented on screen. Editing by Marthand K Venkatesh is alright. Production values of ‘Dil’ Raju are the best.

Performance wise, Siddharth was rocking through out. This is definitely his best performance after ‘Bommarillu.’ Surprisingly Shruti has improved a lot in her histrionics as her Telangana dialect gave required punch to characterization. Hansika looked gorgeous sharing smart kisses from Sid but was definitely out of shape. Navdeep is perfect as a disturbed lover stuck in confused net of Friendship Vs Love. Out of the Movie OMF: When director has this kind of a single line rounded subject, obviously it is recommend for running of sub plots that would help the main plot narration get better and interesting. Venu’s thought was differently focused only on the four lead characters along with wonderfully worked out father-son family connection which is again linked to friendship. True that movie drops in pace occasionally but Venu’s research on scripting and ‘Dil’ Raju’s trademark touching scenes lifted emotions immediately. Venu has shown clarity and control on subject which was more felt in closing scenes.

Can a boy and girl be friends forever? Can society accept this kind of relation? What is the difference between Love and Friendship? These elements are always popular selling points for a movie. Youth would attract to such storylines with in no time. OMF is to easily cash on this sentiment as Venu delivered a decent product. As projection of same on the screen being absolutely stylish, it would be doubtful on how B & C centre audiences would embrace the flick. Nevertheless multiplex and urban viewers are to be certainly impressed. So, Box Office wise there is every chance of OMF having a good life.

Rajanna is another Shiva for Nagarjuna!
